Jessica gives her folks the run-down; Frank had put her on watch, and sure enough, "Lady Highfeather" was in Renaissance at the Barony of Sunkissed Waves. Except she's not a Lady; she's a squire, claiming to be an ex-lover of Baron Reiredus and seeking revenge.

Brekke visibly tenses at that last part, her expression grim. "Revenge," she echoes. "Truly. That is what she wants." A tone of disbelief.

"So it seems." Jess agrees.

Frank rubs the base of his horns.

She grinds her teeth for a moment. Then she says, " That suggests that she acts alone, not as an agent of a larger agenda."

"I've... been giving her time alone. To... think about what she's done."

"Remorse from a Leanhaun?" A dismissive snort.

A shrug. "Or to think about what I'm thinking about. Doing. As she chooses."

"Jessica...what outcome do you wish here?"

"I don't know." honestly "I think... it's up to dad. And you."

Frank looks up from the spot on the flor that held his attention.

Brekke looks to him as well. It's not quite married-brain, but he knows her well enough to read her expression: it's his decision, but a large part of her heart craves revenge on this woman who endangered their daughter; this woman who loved a man who caused them so much hurt and harm.

"Rereadus...." slow and low "... isn't dead. Does she know?"

"I haven't told her." Jess responds.

Frank nods heavily.

And clears his throat. "I think... she should be surrendered to the authorities. Your Duke."

"He need not be merciful," Brekke mutters.

She stares into her coffee a long moment before taking a sip.
