Clashing, and slashing... but...

"You're holding back," Vaeltilde says "That is insulting"

"Code of Dagda, you are smaller than I" he says

She whops him with the practice blade upside his head "I can reach you""

Holger blinks "Si. You can"

Giggles from Ellie.

Ariel grins "Come on, Holger, don't hold back because she's a girl"

"Oh never, " he says and counter attacks with a shield shove, that does knock the Aesin back

"The Chieftain she is a fierce warrior, as is Dame Dagmar. And they are girls, very strong!"

He explains

Vaeltilde is pushed back and back, and being a sidhe puts on a brave face "Good to hear." And she twists around to break the lock and gets a swing at his side.

"Trolls are very strong, si. And tall."

"I just have to get under his reach" Vaeltilde declares

Holger twists two and gets an even harder hit on Vaeltilde

"Yeah, good luck with that" Ariel says as Vaeltilde gets bopped

The fight goes on, and Vaeltilde IS good, but in the end, rivervale training and troll might have her pinned under Holger's shield

"Yield?" Holger asks

"Never!" The Aesin says

"Por Favor?" He asks nicely

"Well, since you said please," Vaeltilde mmphs "Okay"

"Huzzah! Glory unto the combatants!"

"Glory and cookies."

"Cookies!" Ariel agrees

"Oh I LIKE cookies" Vaeltilde declares

"You've earned them."

"Rosa made marranitos."

Holger smiles and lets his foe up, "After you, Baroness."

"Thank you, Holger" Vaeltilde says, then joins Ellie and whispers "He will be a wonderful knight some day. "

"Oh, si! He will be the head of my guard."

Holger is nosey but too polite to eavesdrop

"Too bad he doesn't have a brother or sister" Vaeltilde says "One as good as him. I could use such a warrior for my warband"

Ellie nods. "We shall have to keep an eye out for someone who needs a place."

"He could get a job at the farm" Ariel reminds "They always need good warriors too"

"He could, yes. If he wanted."

Vaeltilde makes a bit of a face. She does not approve of these democratic holds, but she's mannerly and does not say anything

But Ariel continues "But Salma would miss him so I hope he stays here"

"Oh, if he and Salma left I would miss them terribly..."

Holger says "Pardon?" he heard part of that but is not sure

"marranitos!" Vaeltilde says back to him

"Oh" He smiles "Si si"

"Marranitos!" What isn't fixed by piglet cookies?

Indeed, Ariel begins to sing "Marranitos! Marranitos ! For mi amigas and Amigos! "

And she bounces ahead

Vaeltilde looks to Ellie "She's got a nice voice. Oh, and.. thank you for inviting me? "

Ellie smiles. "Well, you're my friend."

The Aesin smiles "I am..but I'm still glad. I don't have many friends, you know? We Aesin can be a bit off putting. We don't mean to be"

"Nooo, I think that this world is very different from the one we remember, and that's a lot to learn."

"It IS..sometimes, sometimes, everything outside of the hold just seems..flatter and sadder" Vaeltilde says with a frown "It is hard to find aw ay to bring the magic back"
