"She did try to violate the Right to Life in a Freehold, this time." Jess considers "I'll ask the Duke to make sure she is punished." Then, a brief snort "Maybe Count Jude could help. That would be appropriate."

"Yeah, Count Jude is... yes. He'd do. " a beat "your duke is well ?"

"He was when last I had word."

"Good. Only met him once, but he was likable enough, clever head on his shoulders "

Jess nods. "He is."

"Well, suddenly it seems I'm all out of formal reasons to be here. You've got it all under control , have her prisoner, and I have definanced her. Obviously she'll need to be questioned more later by yourself or the Duke... and that will let us know even more but again, you've got that under control too. I'd say I'm disappointed I didn't get to buckle more swash, but mostly I'm grateful to you and yours. Thank you"

"You're welcome, but don't think family didn't come into it. Dad let me know about the situation and when I found out she was here, I was personally as well as professionally motivated."

"It's just as well he did" Siv observes with kindness , "I ... I love dad, but I think this was hard on him. He wanted to help so badly , and he DID, more than he realizes, but this woman threatening me with assassins , a lady with peacock imagery? He wanted to race off and take care of it, take care of us. "Aye . hopefully this will put them at ease. They were tense. We need to get them something nice for their next anniversery"

"Sure; what are you thinking of? If we could get her to, they could come down here for a vacation. Olgar and Kerri have."

"You know, that might be a good idea... there's some good beaches south of the city... and I remember you love soem hiking areas outside of it too. Mom would like that. Dad too I bet. Mmm. I'll see what I can do to assure them Hearth and Mountian can handle things for a week"

"I heard Dagmar sometimes fills in for Storm?"

"With College she probably won 't be able to, but she's become mothers right hand in that department. And she earned it."

"I've heard good things about her in that field. Maybe they could come during the summer break?"

"May have to be next summer break at this rate but aye. You'd be impressed by Dagmar, Sis. She's been through a lot of shit, picked herself up with just a bit of help, and strode forward with chin lifted. Damn fine warrior, great with animals, maybe a bit soft on them but hey, and she always wants to help those who are down"

"Sounds worthy of the Lodge." Jess observes. "Could be winter break, too; give the cold a miss for a week or two."

"I'll suggest it" She says

"Thanks. And if you get pushback, we'll come up with a Plan B."

"Aye. " A nod "Oh, reminds me." She says "What's your favorite genre of music?"

"Um." she thinks.... a shrug "I've been trying to listen to local native music just recently."

"Oh" She says, surprised "Mmm bit harder to see if anyone at Goldfinch can make some cover music for that. Though.." Realization "I wonder if Piper would love to listen to visit and learn some? "

"Up to her.... Don't worry about doing a cover, though. Kind of listening for the real deal."

"I suppose a cover would defeat the purpose true. Sorry, reason I asked was lately Goldfinch has been putting out some great music, and I can get you a cover of some favorite songs or at least genre... but I admit, indigenous music is one I can't provide for. And before you say 'that's not necessary' , I figure it's also free good word of mouth for Goldfinch and it's music. Me Piper loves that place"

"If you want to bring some by, I'm sure folks here would be interested in testing it out."

"I'll do so... okay, what's one of your favorite genres I CAN provide?" A chuckle

Jess makes a helpless gesture. "I read, more than anything else, when I have time. Which, I really don't these days. Whatever's on the radio, usually, so I guess Mexican pop? I don't even use headphones when I run."

"Well, frustrating, but I don't want to force anything on you"

"Sorry. It's just not a big thing for me." she says honestly.

"But, really, if you bring some by I'd be happy for the folks here to have them."

"I will, hope they enjoy it" She says "Thanks. They've got some lovely talent. "

"I'm sure they do. I haven't had a chance to visit."

"It's not my favorite hold but The bale is small, but fiesty, and it's got good folk. It's kind of two tiered. The actual hold is mostly the basement area, but the studio above is a dreamer training area. "

"The Dreamers aren't too close to the Bale?"

"No, they're careful about that. Though sometimes the dreamer's excess glamour seems to float down through the floor boards to feed the fire below"

"Hm. Interesting."

"It is, in a weird way it's a place of teaching ... music lessons are given, but that can become musing lessons for kithain. Piper's really good at it, and Sylvi works hard to run it as President and holder kind of thing"

A small chuckle. "Like the stories about mom."

"Actually yeah . I always figured Sylvi would make a good Chief, and while I don't know if THAT is ever in her future, she does lead well" Proud, "Hey, let me catch you up on what I know of the others..."

"Sure. Seat? Drink?"

"Thanks" She takes one and just, well, fills Jessica in, not on her own life, Jessica knows about that, but others of Rivervale Jessica rarely gets to see, or may not even know that well. She talks about Eddie having puppies, and about Aunt Kerri's new reciepies, she talks about visitors and how the locals are doing
