"When you get them there, secure them. No cross-talk." she orders regarding the attackers, then "I need two escorts to walk with Duff."

"I can flicker flash him direct with me if you wish," Gerd offers

"Duff?" she asks what he wants to do.

"Fine" He says "But I think if she can manage it, flicker flashing the prisoners there might be good too. Bypass any other backup raiders"

"Good point. Go ahead, Gerd, if you would. Duff first."

Gerd snaps a bit of dross, and the energy flows sending Duff to the healing pool

"Done. Who is next?" She asks

"Mm. Let me call in and let them know to be ready. Then the prisoners."

And Jess phones Fenix to do just that.

THey'll be ready

"Ok. You know the open air atrium at the front? Before the doors? Can you put them in there?" she returns, asking Gerd.

"Sure can" She says

"Thanks." Jess waits for the prisoners, tied hand and foot, to be removed.

And they are!

Gerd wipes her brow, a bit drained despite dross use

"C'mon. The rest of us will walk back, you crash here a few days."

"Oh just for tonight" Gerd says "You're going to be busy, don't need me bumming it too long"

"Look...." as they move out "... you've earned it, but above and beyond that, you're Fae and you're low on Glamour. It's the Escheat."

"Well, I could heal other nights up at the Rivervale Balefire " But she looks amused "You remind me a bit the Chief right now"

"Wonder why."

(She doesn't really.)

"Stop being a pain, Emmisary, and take your medcine" THane Coy declares but with humor

"Gotcha" Gerd says and goes along

Arriving back at Fenix, Jess says "Thane, can you see Gerd to the 'Fire? I want to check on the prisoners."

"Right away, Jessica"

"Thanks. Gerd, I'll come by later, ok? Thane, make sure she gets food or drink or whatever she needs, thanks." And Jess goes to check on the Nunnehi.

"Just helping out" She shrugs. And Jessica goes out

The Nunnehi are being healed as well as put in cells

Demos says "We're gonna run low on cells here"

A sigh of agreement "Yeah. I mean... I never -planned- on running a hotel...." she gets what might be a good first look at the new captives.

"Hello." she says to the cells, generally "I'm Jessica King. Why did you attack?"

"We sought to take him hostage" One says "So you would have to free ours!"

Is that a redwater speaking?

"Well, I planned to do that already." she says "I guess I'll be doing it a bit more. And you'll be our guests until then."

"You... were going to free her?" Bafflement

"Yes. We're powerful enough to be able to show mercy, you see." Jess says calmly "I -am- still trying to figure out how to do it safely. Foamfang, you hear your people?" she asks.

Frothfang nods "I do. You.. have shown no fear of me. That is true. Vexing, but true"

Jess nods. "So. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can release you back to your people while guaranteeing you won't kill anymore of -my- people?" Yes, she's asking for suggestions from the Nunnehi.

"You are an enemy, we will never stop" One bellows

But another mutters something about a peace axe or something

"A peace axe?" she asks, interested.

"There is a hatchet, to bury it shows an intent for peace. It would not buy you peace for long, but it would be honored for prisoner trade" Frothfang explains

"Hm. Ok." thoughtfully "Pardon me...." and she goes to her chamber for a moment.

.... and returns with ... an axe. A Peace Axe.
