With Imbolc rapidly closing on Fenix, Jessica finds some fall out from her action when the Duke returns.

"So apparently," The Duke says to her, "she's very worried about her precious handmaiden."

"Mm." Jess says non-committally "Would your Grace be willing to speak with her? Michelle, I mean."

"I would hope to, yes. I take it the Leanhaun is lying through her pearly whites?"

"I couldn't say, Your Grace. But I think you should speak with Michelle. She's currently at my apartment but I can contact Sir Jack and ask him to escort her here."

"You couldn't eh?" He nods "I think I understand. I'll go visit them, with your permission?"

"Of course. Can I offer you an escort?"

"Probably for the best. My own knights are furious I snuck out the first time" Amused

Jess nods and asks for two thanes to walk with the Duke.

And they do, along with one of his knights

And Jess settles in to take care of County business while waiting for his return.

Shortly after ,he return, without his knight "Your excellency, have you a moment?"

"I am at your disposal, Your Grace." she stands and invites him into her office area.

He follows her, and once they are alone, and only then, does his visage flare in rage "I am FURIOUS. That poor daughter of Eve"

Jess looks away sharply, eyes down. "Yes, Your Grace."

He calms "My apologies. This is not your doing . Indeed, you're to be commended. She needs to be freed"

Jess swallows carefully. "I agree, Your Grace."

"Then I will see to it. Blame will fall on me. " He assuresh er
