The prisoner is pissed, pacing in his cell

Jess has dressed in -that- outfit; the priestess one. It took her a couple tries but she sucked it up and made it happen. She brings a couple of thanes who can be trusted not to bring it up with her to meet the prisoner.

They keep mum

Jessica walks in with a confidence the outfit does -not- make her feel, but she fakes it.

He turns to see her, and starts to kneel, then he hisses "Usurper!"

"You've no right to that garb"

"Tell it to the Dreaming." she invites "I didn't ask for it. But I will accepted for the good it does my people, and yours."

"You're a liar" He says

"I'm not." she says.

"Listen... you and I have no bad blood between us. I'm not .... angry. I'm concerned. I have no desire to hurt you, or your people."

He is twitching with rage, or perhaps confusion, eyes turned away

"My plan is to have you escorted honorably to the border of these lands, with food and drink. I want to send you home with a message for your people."

"You seek to make me into your lackey?!"

"No. Just give you the chance to serve your people. Nothing says you have to deliver the message, after all. Or tell the truth about what happened here."

He looks at her again, dubiously, then he says "If I were free and you weren't wearing that outfit, I would choke out your life with my barehands"

"You'd try." she agrees "I'd defend myself, and so on."

"My message for your people is this; We will defend ourselves but do not plan to attack. You might have an ally that seeks to deceive you about what we do here. If you keep that ally, you may find yourselves betrayed. I would welcome a true emissary to meet with on neutral ground."

"They won't believe you. WE will never trust you! You are an occupier! A colonizier! All of you , we were here before Mexico, we will be here after it is broken"

She nods. "I know. I'd like to talk about how your claim might be able to be recognized."

"It will be recognized when every Kithain in our lands is dead or driven out"

"Or maybe there's another way to do it, that's what I'd like to talk about."

"Talk? No talk. LEt me go, I will deliver your ...message. that's more than you deserve'

She nods. "Ok, I appreciate that. I don't mean to insult, but would you like me to give you a written copy?"

"Write what you wish" He almost spits the words

Depsite his hostility, the outfit, silly as she may feel it, seems to be why he's listening

She nods. "I'll get it on paper. Other than freedom and home, is there anything you need at the moment? You've had food and drink?"

"I have. And I do not need anything else except your death, and that will come in time"

"To all of us." she agrees again "I'll be back." and she turns and leaves.

SHe finds Otem waiting outside the door for her "How did it go?"

"Well. He didn't actually spit on me. So... could have been worse. He said he'll take the message; no idea if it will get to who it should but...."

OOC AFK

A nod "Yes. The outfit marks you as sacred. It may have infuriated him but a part of him has to respect it"

"Oh, yeah...." as if she just remembered the outfit "'Scuse me, I'm going to ... no, I should keep it on to send him off, huh?" she sighs "Ok, going to write a message."

"Symond said she had an idea and that you should see her"

Jessica swallows a groan. "Can you send someone to tell her to come see me? I need to write this note and get this guy out of here."

"RIght away" He says

And does so

Symond shows up "What you're too good to go to my work sho..." A blink "Furking hell... hold still" She starts to raise a cellphone to take a picture of Jessica in that outfit

Jessica goes to her chambers, asking the thanes to wait there. "DON'T YOU DARE." she orders Symond, and she MEANS it.

"What the furk's the problem? You look great! Sides, Mama Captaz would love it!"

"NO."

"FINE" She puts the phone down

"Thank you. I was told you wanted to see me?"

"Oh yeah... want me to put a tracker on the asshole ?"

"Can you do it without him finding out about it? Or anyone finding out?"

"IS a Frog's ass water tight?"

She nods. "If you can, then yes. I have to write a message, you have time."

"On it" She moves off

And she writes the message, but pretties it up a bit; more respectful greetings and salutations, easy on her own rank and title. Keeps it simple. And waits for Symond to let her know she's done before Jess takes the note back to the Nunnehi warrior.

Symond returns "Done, but he don't know it."
