OOC Probably something that would not look wrong on Brekke but with a nod towards the local Baja area.

And thus she responds.

She finds him in the private study waiting and dressed in fresher voile, as soon as she comes in he says "Countess, thank you for your prompt response. I.. think I have a new discovery that maybe of interest to you"

"Please, do share it." she says attentively.

"I put out some discrete feelers while you slept. Trying to my part after your hard work. And .. I found out something, Alejandro has made enemies.. including one among his own House"

The King's eyebrow.

"Apparently, Alejandro was taken into a hold with another ward, and soon muscled that ward out. Possibly because that ward, while Daireann, is a troll"

"And that troll stands against Alejandro now?"

"I suspect so. So the rumors say... boggan gossip mostly fair spread but fluid"

"Should I try to get in touch with this troll and invite them here? If I do it publicly, it will be a telling move. Lord Alejandro will hear of it and draw his conclusions... and probably accurately."

"That's one of the reasons I asked you to come to me in private. How do you want to handle this meeting IF you even want to meet?"

Thinking "I ... I think that if I -am- going to call him out, this troll would actuallly -want- to be involved. I think it could be mutually beneficial. If this troll would be willing to be Renaissance's champion in the matter I would accept that."

"Well, we don't know how well the troll fights... Her name is Aylyr and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if you were as good.... but I can get you in touch with her"

"I could give you her phone number" he says "Is that discrete enough to start?"

"Yes, I think so. After that it's on me. Can I say that you did so?"

"Yes. mind you, Liam house may dim my name to her, but if you think my title will help then by all means refer me. Give me a moment to call my spy who is working on this"

Jess does so.

Shortly he has the number and hands it over to her "Countess, is there anything else I can do for you on my end?"

"Having your continued support is a great relief, Your Grace."

"You've my best Countess, Jessica. More important, you're the best countess to your people. I would be a poor duke not to try to keep up"

"Thank you." she says sincerely "Will you stay with us a while? I would like to introduce Otem to you."

"I would be honored. I can't stay beyond the traditioanl 3 days though. My apologies for that if you hoped for more"

"Three days is a wonderful gift, Your Grace. Will you let me get you situated?" she offers to arrange his rooms "Did you bring any retainers, or do you expect them to follow?"

"That would be welcome and No and no. I was in too big a rush. I merely told them to see to things in my abscence"

"If you send for any, I am sure we can accomodate them. Pardon me." she bows and steps out to arrange matters.

And once the Duke is made comfortable, she'll go outside to call this Daireanne troll; Aylyr.

Aylyr picks up on the sixth ring . Perhaps the troll of House Daireann is cautious

"Hello?" cautious.

A reluctant voice then "Hola, may I help you?"

"In person? I understand you're not a fan of my... sorority. The Cappa Delta Dares? Is that true?"

It would appear Alejandro may have spread rumor of her having a house bias against House Daireann

"I don't know enough Cappa DDs to say."

"I'm open to options. I've welcomed the dark side, in the past, to my home."

"The Dark side" Stoic amusement "WHere would you like to meet?"

"Meaning no disparagement to your home mind you, but i didn't want to assume just because you've let others in the past doesn't mean you are extending me that same option."
