Skyhook looks very little like it used to, at least to dreaming eyes. Steampunk Trek tech, art deco tower of invention, it is.

Ellie can almost imagine a rocket hidden inside ready to launch from the roof

Jessica's car is a beater; once pale blue, it's now also rust-colored... in fact, it's just rust in some places. The tires are balding and the headliner was torn out years ago. But, it runs.

More or less.

There's gleaming chrome, there's smooth polymer walls, there's people-moving walkways....

Folks come out to greet the newcomers "You need your parking vali.. oh... " One nocker says "Well, furk, so much for easy money"

Jessica unfolds herself from the car.

"Didn't know you were coming, Countess. Mama Captaz is in R&D 3"

"Can you find out if she could take a few minutes for us?"

Ellie follows, all eyes!

"You... you want ME to bother her in R&D 3?" the nocker fellow looks at you like your'e asking him to stick his hand in an active garbage disposal "Oh I just remembered some duties I had to do... darn it, sure wish I could help. You two have fun"

A boom comes from somewhere deep in the hold, but nobody seems particularly disturbed about it.

Jess sighs "Ok. Can Anyone Show Us Where R&D3 Is??" She calls.

A sidhe approaches, "This way, please, Your excellencies" She bows to you both, and turns expecting you to follow

And Jessica does, encouraging Ellie to come too.

The whirr of motors here, and drills there, and yes, there's the snap and ozone smell of soldering going on.

And then the very unfortunate sound of a gear jamming, and squealling, and...a cuckoo clock? Then another BOOM, much closer, and a billow of grey smoke comes shooting out of a door. The door marked R&D3.

"Oh good, the smoke's not green, should be non toxic" The sidhe guide opens the door

"WHAT IN THE -- DO YOU THINK THIS IS SOME KINDA GREEN SCREEN FAKE OUT? DO YA? PULL THAT SHIT AGAIN, AN' YOU LIKELY TO BLOW US ALL INTO SOME J. J. ABRAMS HELLSCAPE!!!"

It's a little hard to see exactly what happened...and even if you could see, it probably wouldn't make much sense, so it might be a good thing that the smoke obscures it.

"But i thought the redwire was the BAD one?" A voice says, coughing

"YOU PUT 'EM TOGETHER WRONG, THEY ALL THE BAD ONES!"

A sound of wings buzzing, and a "Hurumph" as Shuri sides with her mom

Jess waves her hand through the air to clear the air, or at least the patch around her and Ellie.

"You tell 'em, Bizz-buzz. C'mon. You numb-nuts better get this sorted before we back or you gonna be the first to test fly it!" Out of the billowing grey stomps Tweak, her goggles on and a mostly-smoked cigar jammed in one corner of her mouth.

Shuri gasps "Twinkle star" As she sees Ellie. Her goggles on as always

She nearly walks directly into Jessica. Stopping abruptly, she squints through the goggles as she looks up and up...and up. "Da fuq?"

"B? Th' hell you doin' here?"

"Hello Tweak. I have some tech I was hoping you'd take a look at, let me know who and where it came from?"

A blink as she's still switching gears. "Tech? You got tech? What tech? Huh?" She shakes her head. "Hang on...follow me to th' office."

She stomps further along the hallway, expecting them to follow. "How's shit at th' ol' place?" she asks over her shoulder.

"Good. You've seen the mixed patrols around?"

She might have seen Nunnehi and kithain teaming up more

"Hi Shuri!" A bright smile and a wave.

"Yeah? Maybe? Who th'fuck looks outside? Got work to do."

She leads them to her office. In this space age building, it somehow has developed the atmosphere of a greasy back-alley garage office.

"This tech... I think it's a listening device. And we probably don't want whoever sent it knowing more than they already do." she warns.

Shuri says "Look, see" And puts something in Ellie's hand.

She plops into her Perfectly Squeaky Chair and imperiously holds out her hand to Jessica. "Gimme."

She looks!

Ellie sees she has a crystal with six sides in her hand, and within it? an Aurora Borealous dances in minature

Jessica puts a wad of dry rag in the nocker's hand.

Within the rag, Tweak finds a cat collar with a ..hey, the underside IS a tracking device.

And listening device

She takes it, sets it down on her workbench and messes about with some small tools.

As tweak fiddles, she can see it's active.. hugh. it has a tiny hair from Jessica's head interwoven in the the circuits!

She scowls at that. Micro-tweezers...prod...pinch...and puuuulllll.....

Looks like the maker might have been nocker sad to say.... she can possibly back track it. Run the symbols past the Bes Din
