There is an uptick in Duff's business , or so she can tell from her apartment. She does have to get out of the hold to sleep once in awhile.

She has arranged to get the locks changed, and stays in the apartment as much as needed, yes.

Then one day she sees Duff THROW Someone out, quite litterally hurl the son of adam out on the street. Painfully

She'll check in on that; Duff can handle his own business but Fae -are- supposed to keep their heads down.....

And back into his place he goes, while the son of adam limps away

Jess observes from a discrete distance.

The situation seems over, the mortal going down the street looks to be man trying to dress beyond his means, one of those cheap suits that doesn't quite fit? The suit is now dirtied thanks to the throw.

And Duff is back in his tatoo parlor

And Jess will head back to Fenix.

And back she goes. Holger is the first to greet her "Comtessa, I am returned from Rivervale with news how busy it is" He has been popping in and out a lot

"Want to get something to drink and tell me about it?"

The childling nods "Si. You can have the coffee and I will have the koolaid. Beuno?"

"Si." and they get drinks.

Soon they are sitting down. Holger has grown again, not a lot, but he's a troll boy wwhich means he's destined to be a tall adult one day, "Gracias. Oh, I hope you are well?" Remembering his manners

"I am, thank you. You? You've gotten taller."

He puffs up a bit at that, what boy wouldn't? "Gracias. I am well. I visited Rivervale, the trod to it is safe and secure again. I got to meet many new trolls. They have been busy. Did you know they are recruiting?"

She frowns "I did not."

"Do you know why?"

"Apparently some of the older wilders will be going to the college for a bit and will not be there as much, so Emmisary Gerd has been tasked with gathering up trolls from other lands to see if they and the Chief would get along. I Met most of them. None of them seemed bad so I guess Emmisary Gerd is doing a good job"

"Wow. Yeah, that makes sense. I should call."

"Well, I can tell you about them if you want, but mostly I was happy to meet another troll my age. Her name is Ashblythe..." He gestures to his face "She had this blight on her face, but I did not stare. That would be rude. Once I got to talking to her, she seemed very nice. SHe like the flowers and drawing"

"Maybe one day she'll visit us here."

"I hope so, she seems nice" He nods "And she quested to get rid of the blight. Dame Kerri and she plunged into the Dreaming. I wish I could have helped"

"If she had Kerri with her,, she had plenty of help."

"True. Hearth Kerri is very wise" A nod "Other trolls there were older. Eir Frey the oldest of all. She is a healer and a herbalist. Very old, but very sweet. like an Abuela to any child that needs one. Harold smiles all the time. That is why they call him Happy. I never seen a troll smile so much. There were three Debukes onloan, they seemed okay. Squire Valter is very old for a squire, but not near as old as Eir Frey"

"Wow. Sounds like they've made some changes up there."

"I don't think so much changes as they are considering them? Mountain Vali says it's like an audition, what troll has talent. Then he chuckled as if he were funny. Does he do that often?"

"He thinks he's funny, yes."

A nod "Sometimes he is" An admission

"I like Rivervale, but i hope one day to be a good thane here. to serve the Comtessa Ellie, and future Over Librarian Salma, and others as well"

"They'll be lucky to have you."

"For that matter, you are all lucky to have each other."

A blush "It is true. I am the hashtag blessed"

Jess chuckles.

"Countess Jessica, what have I missed while I was gone?" Curious

"Oh, not too much. Our Nunnehi allies are still patroling with us, a little less than before but it's an ongoing program."

"They stayed?" Approving nod "It is good. I thought they would break off"

"Some of them want to. Some have decided to stay and help."

"Then that is good, si? "
