She -is- interested to see if anyone tries the Rivervale mead.

SOme are, and they seem to enjoy it, smacking of lips is a good sign

OOC Well there you go.

Strong in that she is not, yet she finds herself doing well.... they talk to her, discusing with respect, her efforts, while asking how she is doing

She responds in kind, making the best small talk she can. Perhaps awkwardly, she mentions that the mead comes from her family in Rivervale.

"Truly? It is very good" One snake faced woman says

She nods. "An old recipe of my mother's family, from local honey."

many compliments abound and they speak of their own relations use of honey with her

Jessica may find she's enjoying herself. These people don't see her as their leader, but rather A leader of some other folks

And they understand. She hears some talk of the PRESSURE of elders, of parents.

One even says "I swear, my sister believes if she doesn't get attention every hour on the hour she will wither like a flower without water. And it's worse she tries to 'help' me"

Jess goes ahead and pours herself a glass of mead.

"Seems to be. What do you think our chances are, long term?"

"Slim, but that's better than zero, which is what will happen if we do not try"

"Agreed. What do you need in terms of support?"

"So far you've given it" He says

"I mean for this approach you're going to make to your elders."

He ponders "I will gather up our stories and history and yes, our customs and traditions, and I will use it to show them that this should be"

"And how can I support you in that?"

"May I look at your scribe's records of the elders words?"

"Sure, help yourself."

"My thanks. I think in their words I may remind them how much hope they offered you"

"Here's hoping." she offers him a salute with her glass.

He returns it, with a smile and then looks at the crowd talking excitedly with each other, with Fawn and with Johnny

"Yes, Hope is key"

"Let me know if there's anything else you need." She sighs "I should talk to people."

"Yes, mingle.. get to know them, and ..l et them know you"

She nods, and continues on doing so.
