A knock on the door but minutes later

She looks up from the records, requests, and reports. "Come in."

It's Ash, "SOrry, I thought you'd want to know.. La Cernicala was seen in Tidemarch's area. They tried to capture her but failed"

Jess slowly and carefully puts her head down in the desk, then lifts it to sit up. "Your instincts were right, I did want to know. Thank you."

"You're welcome. No one was hurt except one thane who tried to hopscatch upon her and grab her. She.. booted him in the balls"

After a moment "Well. A blessing it wasn't worse, I suppose."

"I think it's safe to say Baron Tidemarch will request right to be more..aggressive"

"I'll be ready when he does."

She nods "Anything else for me to do? "

"No, thanks." she gestures to the work on the desk "This is pretty much mine."

"Oh my, quite the pile. I'll bring you some coffee and then leave you be"

"No coffee, thanks. I'm good."

"Well, if you're sure," She bows and slips out closing the door so her boss may have privacy

And she goes back to her work.

As it is after dinner, by the time she finishes up, it's time for a shower and sleep. She'll deal with Tidemarch tomorrow.. and see how Buck does in the ring
