Salma is trying to be good, honest. The stack of books she had, she looks at, and reluctantly pares back down, looking at - REALLY looking at each one closely, considering it's worth, before finally only bringing a few before Jessica. One is an anatomical book - with pictures! Slightly gruesome, though it is thankfully animals. Another is a book about... traditional Mexican dances? The last is a colorful book of fish, coral, and sea life. Though she gives a longing glance back at the shelves, these are the three that she walks back with.
"Condesa, I am a terribly greedy niƱa, thinking only of myself... I must insist that these be bought for me as well. If only because I am never fed, and perhaps the pages may fill my belly for one more day."
