"Nancy, Dame... do what you can, please."

Jess posts up to keep an eye on the room. "Sir Buce, Tito Woden.... will you keep an eye out please?" (assuming there are other entry/exit spots)

Nancy moves towards him, and starts a bunk

"Verily" Buce bows and does so

Tito-Woden says "If you say"

"Thank you." to her people

"Ah, thannk you, nancy" Duff says as his leg heals up

"You're welcome, Jessica? You want to talk to him?"

"Chimera are not allowed to hunt and kill Kith in this Country." she says calmly, as she's said before "The gifts and help of Renaissance are the people's at their need. That said, personal vendettas are personal."

"I understand the dragon was last seen diving into the ocean with injuries around its mouth and muzzle. It might have trouble feeding if it can't heal; it might be weakened in that way."

"I'm counting on it" he says "I have the advantage now. Flame retardant armor and gear."

She nods. "You know where to come to find healing."

A look at her, "I will if I have to. " A pause "Thank you, Jessica, but tyou shouldn't get involved. It will anger the Dragon"

"I -am- involved."

"stubborn woman" He growls "I am trying to keep you from paying for my screw up"

A long moment. "You mean, keep the -county- from paying. But, that's what the county, what our community, does. We take care of each other."

A frown "I am not just another of your subjects, Jessica. I know it, even if you don't"

"That is not -this- meeting, or discussion." firmly.

"Mmph" he rumbles "Fine. You can go. I'm healed up, I'm holed up. I'm hidden. I'll be hunting the dragon soon to finish her off"

"Mmph." she nods. "Nancy, Dame, all done?"

"As much as I can be," She says "i'd still like him to spend a night by the balefire, but... "

"No" Duff says

"Is there a better way out of here?"

"If by betterr you mean drier? Si" He says " A side tunnel" he rises and moves "I'll show you. Careful using it cominng back. It has a lot of taps that block entry, not egress"

"I noticed." dryly; she motions for the same marching order as when they came in.

Buce sighs at something. The redcaps head up, and once out of earshott of Duff, Demos says "You sure you don't want us to kick his ass a bit? We knonw he makes you nuts"

"What he said" Phobos offers

"No, thank you."

They move on. Nancy frowns "Wish he'd talk more about this. Maybe we could help him, but he's so stubborn"

"His heart aches" Buce says "And death would be a balm."

"No," Ash says "It really wouldn't"

Jessica walks stoically back towards Fenix.

The others maybe temptted to chat it up with their countess, but they know better
