Ellie is spun a bit then sat down, then picks up Salma "Salma...you are the tallest, clearly reading helps you get taller. At this rate you may tower over us all one day"

"No," She says thoughtfully, "Holger is still tallest." A smile.

"Salma has the tallest ears, for sure. Holger doesn't count, he's a boy."

The younger man seems to have trouble making eye contact with Jessica for long

"Zane. Oh, from Rivervale! Welcome. I didn't know anyone was coming."

A wince at the 'from Rivervale' part "I was hopinnn to have permission to spend 2 or three nights here before I move on, if allowed?"

She holds her hand on her head, then veers it towards Zane. "I'll catch up to you, soon."

Jessica smiles and nods. "Yes."

"I bet you might" Zane smiles "Though, kihs aside, boys usually end up taller than girls when full grown. So dont' get upset if I'm still a bit taller than you when you grow up. Remember what truly makes us equal" A serious look "Equal access to pockets"

"You remembered!" Salma is delighted.

"Oh, Emmy was jealous of our bolsos."

"You're a good teacher, Salma" He nods

"Emmy is Marion Marion DeBuke" Ariel whispers nnot so confidenntially "She was nice"

"You're a DeBuke, Ariel" Zane points out

"Yup" Ariel nods "I'm nice too"

Holger comes in, shield ready, then he sees it is Zane, ad puts it down.

"Holger, Keeping everyone safe?" Zane asks

Holger stands tall and gives an upnod with his chin

"Zane, do you want piggies?"

Zane seems to get it somewhat too, then turns to Ellie "Piggies?"

"They are." Jess confirms.

"Maria makes them. They're gingerbread and soft. If you want crispy, you want churros."

"I will try a Marraitos. In fact, you kids go ahead to the kitchen. I'll join you shortly. I wan to talk to Jessica about something."

Jess nods, as if expecting it.

"We will ask Maria for cookies!" Ellie leads the gaggle towards the kitcheb.

the gaggle moves on, and once he thinks he's alone, Zane looks to Jessica "I want to apologize to you ... but I don't know if it's misdirected. Still, I have offended a member of your family and... done harm. I thought I had undone it. I failed"

"Yes" He says "I don' know the entire fall out situation, but.. I know that I was the catalyst for some pain to him. I thought I had...repaired that. I didn't."
