And then, someone calls out "The Brand, the Brand!"

Jessica takes a deep breath and finishes her drink in a gulp before stepping forward to greet the Bearer.

Jimmy sighs carrying a large lantern. He looks very frustrated. The piskie MIGHT seem familiar to Jessica, but he might not. But it IS odd for boys to be firebrands

Folks cheer focusing more on the flames

Jessica nods her greeting reverently. "Welcome, Firebrand and Firebearer, to Renaissance. I'm Jessica King."

Ariel says "Remember, be kind to her. Looks aren't everything" A whisper to her friends

“She is LOVELY.” Salma says, though she hides a grin.

Moving forward in his white gown ..err robe, Jimmy bows and says trying to recall the words "Your Excellency, on this most blessed of nights, it is my honor to bring to you this fire, a remnant from the High King's hearth itself! Thus is Concordia bound , one people, many dreams! " He offers the Lantern to her. The phrase used isn't the usual one, but it's still legal.

She bows, fist over heart, and takes the Lantern.

Huh, the guy knows troll ways. As soon as she takes it, he returns the troll salute PERFECTLY

"Welcome, Firebrand. Please, rest and be refreshed." she invites.

The Lantern roars!

And Fenix echoes that greeting..she's a gentle hold, but feeling a bit tired

Jess blinks at it. "Um. Ok." She takes the Lantern to the hearth and Balefire, and commingles the two. "Welcome, and be refreshed." she invites quietly.

And Fenix drinks it in, what was Tir No Nog's fires merging with her own, and she bends that magic to hers! As if to assure the newness that this is healing, this is restoration, this is your task now.. and we are one!

But only so much is drunk in, and this may surprise Jessica t first, until she realizes ... ah, yes, the remainder must go to the baronies. Either a new Brand must be sent from here, or hte old one must go on again

She lowers the open Lantern to the united Balefire. "One here, and I have three other Lanterns to serve the other Baronies." she promises; indeed, there are three more lanterns on the hearthstones.

And they are filled, ready to be transported. Jimmy gets up and moves to help again if need be.

Jessica has chosen representatives from each Balefire (Sunkissed Waves, the Pit, and Skyhook) to carry the Lanterns; they will have a Fenix escort of arms.

And Jimmy looks pleased but quiets as the representives instead take their balefire lanterns, and lift them high to carry them on. Crowds part to give them room, save for the escorts that go to protect them

Jessica watches the procession depart and takes a deep breath.

A music procession plays , people begin to sing Owl City's Fireflies... , and they light up their own little candles that have been handed out! Fenix's bale seems to take the shape of a woman and dances joyfully as everyone sings, in two different languages, in relative harmony and send the brands on their way.

Jessica actually and clearly smiles.

It's actually... beautiful, to the eye, to the ears, to the heart.

She sits by the hearth and trails her fingers in the flames in a familiar gesture.

And the flames trail back, dancing up wtihout harm along the Countess' arm. She's probably unaware how amazing she looks as she and the flames commune before others. Jessica's eyes reflect the bale, and the bale reflect's Jessica's ocean eyes

Ariel whispers in stunned look to her friends "Chief Jessica is Boootiful like this"

Jessica is -completely- unaware.

Many might be. With music and joy going it's easy to miss the heart of it. But tonight, tonight is a perfect Imbolc
