Duff is surprised ... as they've come to the bedroom, but sure doesn't complain. And he kisses Jessica

She kisses him back and takes a brief refuge in his arms, holding him, being held. He can feel her exhale slowly.

he holds onto her, "its' good"

"I know." Slightly muffled into his chest.

He strokes her hair, "They're safe"

"I know." She takes in a deep breath.

He puts his forehead agiainst hers wordlessly

She tilts her head to kiss him.

And he returns it , even as he kisses her, with a heat, he supports and holds her. Nothing exists outside of them, nothing can tear her away unless she wants to go.

Apparently, she does not want to go.

A whisper to her ear "Should we go to bed to celebrate life? "

"Can we shower first? And, um, after?" a murmur as she nuzzles his neck.

"Definitely..." He moves with her "I'll wash your back"

"Yes, please." She draws him into the bathroom and the shower there. "I'll do you."

His eyes light up there at that, but he wisely does not say the first thing that comes to mind at those three words together
