Her tail twitches a bit as she thinks over this. "If I become a bruja, I will make books magic." A small smile.

"That seems fair."

Holger ponders this "Such magics are dangerous, some books have stories that are quite scary"

Ariel says "So? Some songs are scary too, but you need them"

"How can I protect you from a book if it tries to hurt you with scary magic?" Holger frowns "No bueno"

"Oh, you will figure it out. You are very clever." Ellie nods, before seeking the green rose. "Hello, Flower..."

The green rose seems to shimmer with dew that could not possibly be there in this heat, yet there it is

She strokes a petal. "You look lovely today. Tell me, could I take a seed from you to gift to other holds?"

As if in answer, an image of the flowers each gaining light from Fenix's balefire like it was their sun. And when the seed is pulled away, the seed gets colder almost frozen

"So... yes? It would not hurt you?"

The flower seems to wilt a bit in alarm.

"No?"

Again, the image of the seed encased in winterfrost, perhaps never to thaw

"Oh..." A tender kiss. "I would never wish harm on you."

The flower is alive and happy under her kiss. And rewards her with visions of things going on in other parts of the hold.

There's an image of Ash, talking to someone on a phone "Yes, we'll arrange transport. yes, we do think it's Dyslexia. It's certainly not a lack of intellect, the girl is brilliant. "

The images pass, she had a look around. There's a sense of warmth as the hold reasures her it will be fine

A gentle pat, and she returns to her friends.

Ariel is eyeing the backpack. "I didn't know you were gonna reorginze it all" to be fair. there was a lot of wasted space

"Now you have room for more things. Snacks, books..." She seems at a loss at what else Ariel might want. "Um. Arrows?"

a brow. "So you're not just making MORE Space so you can put more of your books in there?" Clearly the Iowan is skeptical

"Well..." There IS a small paperback that she has come across somewhere.

Ariel hmmphs, then hands the backpack over again "Fine. Go nuts. you're my friend after all"

A grin, and she takes the backpack to 'reorganize properly'.

Ariel waves to Ellie "She's really good at packing things , I didn't think I HAD that much space"

"She's going to find room for three more books."

"It's amazing really" Ariel says "i'm glad i keep most of my songs in my head"

"I can't wait to see the city."

"Me too. It's huge I hear, like... bigger than Des Moines even!" as if amazed such a thing is possible

"Do you think lots of people will come?"

"Lots of changelings, sure! Some to see you, some to see Jessica! Some just cuz they want to party"

"It'll be wonderful...."

Ariel says "I hope there's LOTS of music"

"Well, you can play music, too... I think Bevera is coming with us..."

"Oh right. Grownups need THEIR troubadour" A nod

"Maybe the two of you could duet?"

"I'd like that"

"Let's go!" Ellie heads for the main room - trusting, of course, that the boggans or other have taken care of luggage logistics. SHE has the soft doll Tonto gave her, with the bulk of the other princesses left guarding the kitten bed.

And off they go, preparing for the great tour
