"Never been so mortified in all my days" Mithra grumbles as Fontaine looks her over, and then so does Father V... "Is this really necessary? I'm recovered"

Bedlam is ugly. Dangerous. Which is probably why she's been checked out in Jessica's apartment; the sidhe takes it with the grace one expects from the upper crust of the fae world.

"I hate this" she hisses while sitting on a troll sized chair in the apartment

"You seemed to have recovered, but going back into the hold is a big step" Father V says

Jessica stands by the door, arms folded, face impassive.

"I'm not going to make a run for it, my liege, it's not that .." Mitra sighs. SHe looks faded, normally bad, but in this case needful. The banality curbing glamour gone wild within

"Clean bill of health, and we'll head back." She says, not ungently.

"And everyone saw me, everyone knows..." This is intolerable "I might as well resign from the House"

"Tell you what..." She tries. "We left your room just like you left it. Take a look and tell me if -something- didn't have to be done?"

"It can't be that bad? "

Jess lets her expression speak for itself.

"Whose been handling my tasks and duties while I've been away? You had soldiers on hand...and guests, or so I hear"

A faint smile. "Family, yes."

"I've been working most of the liaison stuff. The rest I found people for. It's ok, but you might have to hunt down details."

"Family? YOUR family? the family I..said something about?"

She nods. "I didn't say anything to them. You're my -friend-, Mitra."

A deliccate blush "perhaps a better one than I deserve. I thank you, but really this is... appalling on so many levels for me. " She looks at the Liam boggan and Fontaine (the latter walksed out with pants) "Well?"

"you seem to be fine, I don't suggest any deep dreaming quests for at least a month" then he looks to Jessica "I would vouch for her being restored. She'll probably want to contact the countess by phone or trvel by car and such if she does visit her in the next month, but the hold should be fine."

Fonataine nods, "She's more upset than anything... her parts seem to flow properly now"

Jessica very carefully does not allow her lips to smile. "Well that is good to hear. Ok. Shall we head back?"

"Yes, please. Your apartment is... not decorated the way I thought it would be" She says as they head out

She locks up carefully and leads the way downstairs. "Spend a lot of time imagining my interior decorating?" Wryly.

"In a state of bedlam and then boredom? I had little else to do" SHe says

"You didn't have imagine it while you were there, you could see it. Or were you thinking of doing something with the place? I just use it for, you know, Freehold-breaks."

"No no... I suppose I should get a place outside o the hold of my own though. It's just , some of the styles there I didn't expect. The family photos... yes, some of the nordic touches.. sure, but.. well... some of the things were different than I expected"

Jessica considers that. "Well, I did about a stretch in the Peace Corp. Africa. And I've tried to find some stuff from here. Stuff like that?"

"The mug on the mantle... a hubcap with a dent? Africa explains the mask. you're from a split family aren't yoU? the other photos?"

Jessica seems surprised at the question; not that it's intrusive, but that it's needed. "Yeah, sure. My mom's human. Dad, you know, is not. Brekke adopted me through Oath. Mom remarried another mortal, my stepdad Richard. They raised me. Then I tracked down dad...." A chuckle "... which was a whole thing."
