The cafe is small and comfortably appointed, the sort of place that looks unremarkable from the street. It does not need a large sign declaring its name - if you know about it, you know it is there. Soft lighting, the faint scent of citrus and spice and the lingering aroma of tea and pastries. Bright and lovely tea, mind you, rather than the mucky stuff Sluagh are purported to slurp in their dank holes. Cups set before Baron Aiden and Lady Nadeen steam gently, porcelain fine enough to feel almost fragile beneath the fingers, while a few stray crumbs and an empty plate show that their meal, no doubt delightful, is already finished.
This the Gilded Leaf, is one of Aiden’s favorites, despite the fact that one usually has to drive nearly to Syracuse to find service of this quality. Everything arrives precisely when needed - never a moment too soon - and with the sort of practiced discretion that makes interruption unthinkable. The staff move with an ease that borders on courtly, attentive without hovering and nearly as good as enchanted servants. For those of Sidhe blood, such care is less an indulgence and more "as it should be!"
Baron Aiden's gaze drifts briefly around the room, ensuring privacy, then he speaks in a tone of passing interest, “I am considering bestowing knighthood on Squire Arcturus.”
