"The connection to the vision? Or to your baron?"

"Oh," he blinks "Right, maybe more research into past events for these suspects is required?"

"I don't know that Baron personally, but I have to admit I have been taught a certain... caution towards Gwydion members." He says, "no disrespect meant to your own Baroness. Er." A pause. "IS Rivervale still Gwydion aligned?"

"Why, that may open new inroads for relations and trading between our respective home Freeholds, if so." He muses.

"Yes, by necessity. Our new Baroness is personally unaffiliated but we are still subject to Count Autumnsbane." Vali answers her, then nods "It's possible. Maybe the dragons in our vision don't need to be fighting at all?"

A small frown. "If it's some other Gwydion, I doubt that m'lord would be willing to treat with them. Baroness Brekke was an exception."

"Damn. I was worried about that," Vali admits.

"Though Baroness Nadeen does have a... tempering effect on Lord Aiden. There's always hope for peace, assuming that whatever sparked the conflict is not too dire."

"Well, maybe the fight can be brief or stopped entire is what your'e suggesting? I prefer peace as a rule at least except for Thallian. Hate those guys."

A bit of a shadow crosses the younger Beaumayn's face at the mention of loathed thallain. "I think... I'd better not speak for my Barony, until I know more about it."

"More than fair, I just recognize you know it better than I do." Vali assures him.

Vali ponders "Okay. Fine. Would you have advice for ME. I'm one of those 'hip' and 'with it' grumps, not one of those 'wilders don't know anything' grumps," He says it with a straight face ,but there is amusement in his eyes.

A soft snort, but he smiles. "You're positively radical compared to our grump trolls. They're... " A pause. "Very traditionally stoic."

"I just wish I knew more about this Viscount. Unfortunately we don't have many information gatherers, being as how most sluagh give our barony a wide berth. I should mention to the Baroness that it may be a good idea to recruit some intelligence officers of other kith."

"Well, as your main suspect is a Gwydion, I can ask around at Caer Falken if he has a rep and pass it onto you? Maybe he's known by some of the other Gwyds in the area. They're not fond of our House but they tolerate us."

"That would be much appreciated." He admits. "I admit the the Gwydions we DO have around here are a bit of a blind spot to me, as Lord Aiden in his previous reclusive state didn't make social inroads even to the extent of keeping tabs on them as one might expect an Ailil to do. Lady Nadeen has done wonders, but as they say about Rome, it wasn't built in a day."

"Your Baroness was under one's wardship, ableit a troll one, but I would say there was something of an imprinting there. Not like a baby duck but you know what I mean," Vali chuckles "I think they often did not understand each other, but at the end they respected each other."

"Heck, I imagine you have some Ailil and Varich traits yourself now."
