"Glad we dressed the babes warmly" Siv says

"Yes, indeed. We can keep them warm, but they will have more fun if they can be out in the weather warmly." She checks in with Franki on her hip. "Yes?"

Jonas helps lay things down when told where, but for now looks over the plot of land chosen.

Frank likewise unburdens himself, and looks around.

"You can stay a few days?" Brekke asks them.

"Not too long" Siv says apologetically, "Not sure when PIper will back, but more than that the new Chief may need us"

"We can manage two nights" Jonas assures "if need be, I can head back early and Siv get that extra night in, and the kids of course"

Brekke nods. "Then we must get the gear unloaded rapidly that we might spend more time together."

"No problem," Siv grins "My man can turn into an ox and help move things in bulk"

"AHEM" Jonas mutters "May we use the term 'bull'.. technically an Ox has.. ah.. ahem" A light blush

Siv grins wickedly at her husband "My mistake. A bull"

Frank occupies himself with unpacking......

Brekke clears her throat. A farm girl herself, she's quite aware of the difference between a bull and an ox. "That is a very good idea, if you are willing to be a beast of burden, Jonas."

"No trouble at all, Mother" he says the last cautiously, as if worried she might take offense, but at the same time trying to be a good son in law, "Siv is better at disguises, but animal forms come easily to me"

Siv nods "He makes a very striking Osprey"

"I would like to see that, indeed."

The rest of the cargo is offloaded trip by trip, each round somebody trading off to spend time with Siv and the babies rather than leave her to manage them on her own.

Jonas is a work horse, in some cases, he takes that form litterally. It cuts down time immensely

Siv whispers to her mom between moments "Thanks for not reacting badly to the 'M' word. He worried it would be upsetting to you"

A blink. "The 'M' word?"

"Mother" She says with a grin

Another blink, then a chuckle. "I had not even noticed. It seemed...natural."

Frank works along, and with, Jonas to offload the cargo and get it up to the site.

When Frank and Jonas arrive with that load, Brekke switches off with Frank, giving him some time with Siv and the babies.

Siv looks pleased at her mom and nods... now with her dad, she says "Now da, I know you're not a talker, but how are you and mom getting along with folks here? Good neighbors it looks like?"

Jonas the work horse saves time on the trip giving Brekke a lift in the empty cart as they head back to pick up more if she likes.

The lift isn't necessary. Brekke can keep up just fine.

"Mm." he nods "Looks like. Of course 'neighbor' here means someone within 20 miles."

"Well, the nunnehi tribe that lives here is the same as Dika-Hannah's.. unfortunately hideous but sweet folk" Siv says "I imagine they respect anyone who respects them. And Snowmantle has a good rapport. I swear he looks like a younger Sam Elliot with pointed Ears to me"

Frank nods, working. "How are things at home?"

Siv ponders this, and says "Well, the lodge seems okay, lot of flux, some challenges with the change, but holding on just fine." A beat and seeing her mother isn't here as she's with Jonas says "Dagmar misses her liege terribly, the oath tween them and all. I didn't want to bring it up towards mom because 1.. I figure she knows. 2, don't want her to feel bad. That said, Dagmar has Symon and the two are a source of great joy to each other. Going questing and all.. Chief Kerri is learning there was more to leadership as a Chief than as a Hearth, though obviously I mean that wihout disrespect, she's just having to worry about new angles now. Nothing she can't handle with the support of Storm and Mountain. Olgar is making a good storm but doesn't have it all down pat quite yet. Lut and Tig remain besties desptie Lut getting all domesticated" another pause "As for me? I miss you both terribly but I'm happy for you finding your dream spot"

"Mm. I meant, more, at your home. Piper is... away."

"oh" Siv looks away for a moment "She's up to something.. I KNOW that. But... I have to trust whatever she is up to she does it with love or for love, or what's the point? Maybe it is meant as a surprise for me or Jonas or all of us? I mean, yes, I get worried about her health or other things... but " A breath "Given the stunts I've pulled in the past, AND that I love her, I owe her the benefits of the doubt eh? Neither Jonas nor I want to live up to that sterotype of over protective becomes possessive troll, you know?" Then she admits "It's hard though, sometimes"

Siv looks thoughtful at all this

Frank nods; yes.

A nod back mmph ("I suppose you're no stranger to that sort of worry")

"Mm."

a chuckle escapes her ("I used to hate these non conversations conversations, as I've gotten older I've learned to appreciate them more. ") and a trollish ahem ("Love you too, da")

"What is next for you, Siv?"

"You don't mean that like in the staying here for the next two days plan do you da?"

"No."

"Not sure, Da. Motherhood has not exactly trapped me, but it does mean some paths will have to wait" She says "Tis Duty of its sort. I ..confess, there's some talk of moving the family to warmer climes than Bergen" Then she looks about and smirks "Though Alaska might yet make Jersey look toasty"

"A duty. Yes." he agrees.

A nod "I am almost sure Chief Kerri and Mountain Vali will be fine withhout me if comes to that"

"They will." he agrees.

A brow "Do you want me to move us to Alaska?"

"No. I did not say that." he blinks, nonplussed.

"I was wondering" She shrugs

A chuckle "I always had a hard time reading you, me own father. I'm sorry. I wish I were better at it. I've gotten A LITTLE better I'd like to think."
