The three indentations seem to be specific shapes. One looks like an acorn... there is a little bit of brownish fur scattered near it. Another looks like a feather, and there are tiny scratches. The last one is round, and in the dirt nearby, there is a paw print." Connor looks at his hands, then shakes his head. "Not I, said the little red hen."

"Egg laying squrrel dogs?"

"I think it might be a buzzard quest." Connor pauses, then tries again. "A vulture chase?"

"Wild Goose Chase?" Blossom makes a face

Connor shakes his head.

"A hyena fetch..."

He looks frustrated.

"A Crow seek!" Rochalor ofers

"A not-a-hunter-gatherer-seek!"

Connor falls over and plays dead for a moment. "Moving on."

He gives himself a shake, like a dog getting rid of water droplets.

"Oh, a scavenger hunt" Blossom says "Why didn't you both just SAY so?"

Connor gives her a HUGE grin. "I DID! I'm glad you listened." Much happier now, his tail wagging.

"So... we need an acorn. Uhm.. and a feather? And... your paw print?" Blossom asks

"This isn't my foot." Connor is complaining, but then he points at the bit of fur by the acorn-marking. "This smells like a fluff-tailed TREE CAT! We should chase it!"

Rochallor recognizes that the pawprint is smaller and a differnet shape then Connor's pawprints. It looks like a fox!

Blossom notices the scratches by the feather mark, but it's not immediately clear why they look familiar to her. She may have to ponder it a bit.

SHe double checks. Hawk scratches? Or other bird o prey?

Oh, she did recognize them! They are tiny little scratches, something smaller, maybe a songbird!

"Let's go find whoever stole these donuts!"

"We should have packed snacks" Connor says a little sadly. (Lunch was NOT that long ago.)

"I should have brought a falcon" Blossom looks about for signs o a song bird

The clearing is silent and empty except for our intrepid childling explorers.

Rochalor looks for a tree with signs of squirels, like a hole in it?

Nothing within the actual glade. Connor is on all hours, sniffing at the ground.

"It's all nosedead in here."

"Then let's back out a bit, and be ready for an AMBUUSH, or any bush" Rochalor says

"Aye aye, Capitan!"

Connor points to both of his eyes.

The centaur backs out of the clearning and looks at places around it

As they wander back out onto one of the paths, perc + alertness

And Rochalor tilts his head , horse ears wobbling

Connor sniffs the air, then jumps up and down! "Oh! Oh boy! Oh boy!" He darts off to one side, "Do you smell that? It smells so good!"

Rochallor sees that as Connor dashes eagerly forward, branches of a tree are bending down ominously, twigs spread like fingers lookint to grab the unwary!

Rochalor yells "One Two Tree, off the Doggy!" And uses his legerddemain to YANK Connor back

Connor is yanked back, yelping in surprise, just as the branches crash down.

"YIPE!"

"Don't DIE, Connor. I'll get in trouble" Blossom is scared

"But I smelled it!" He looks up at Rochallor from his spot sprawled at the large childling's feet - "I smellled Bacon! I thought it was the legendary bacon tree..."

A voice pipes up from another nearby tree... .it's laughing!

"Stupid doggy! Stupid stupid! Hahahahaha!"

"Grrr" Rochalor says, then looks to Connor "Sorry, that's your line"

"Grrr!"

"Good grief" Blossom snorts then calls out "You better not hurt him, he's the Baron's heir, that makes him SUPER important."

"Heir of the dog?" Rochalor ponders

"Silly dumb-dumb silly dog! Not MY fault you don't know a bacon tree from a HAMBUSH."
