The Seer of White Trillium clicks his invisible key in the lock to reseal his study, then puts the fake knothole over it.

It is a clever combination of transparent key, and camoflauged entry way

But it is enough to let the scent of old books and occult power drift in the air

Slip whispers to Zara "It's so tempting" the boy admits.

"Aye?"

"Aye. It's forbidden, so, you know it's good" A sigh "Why are all the best things forbidden?"

A soft chuff.

"They would be much less interesting if they were not forbidden."

"maybe" he concedes "but it feels like a double dog dare"

"So. Find a way in."

"well, I had this clever plan of having you sneak in then hiding in your shadow so I slipped in to?" Slip sighs "I need to be less honest, don't i?"

She arches a brow.

"You need to do the work, not I, if you wish the sweet victory."

"You're right" He nods "May I ask for you to keep an eye out for me? In case the po po show up?"

She nods.

And thhe boy gets to work. He has ... is that some sort of play dough?

He flips the knothole open, and presses it in oh so slowly. Then mutters "Winter is no enemy, it can be a friend to me. Just as water turns to ice, playdough can harden to my device"

The formerly soft material hardens to fit, and the boy turns it slowly, hoping it will not break.

There's the softest of clicks.

Oh dear, looks like the Seer has forgotten something and is heading back, he's one hall away

A soft hiss of warning.

The boy winces, pulls out the playdough key and resets the knothole.

Then, with things back, but being somewhat exposed, he blows his nose into his hand, and begins making a snot spider web.

The Seer , a sidhe, walks by, sees the boy goofing offi n the hallway, then sees the snot web, and makes a revolted face "Do that somewhere else"

"Yes, Seer" The sluagh says then brightens "Want me to show you how to make one with your own snot?"

"I do NOT" Firmly "Now go clean that off and wash your hands. It's revolting"

The boy bobs his head and walks off, having not gotten his goal, but also having ..well, an alibi of being revolting.

(Is Zara hiding? Or just chilling? 🙂 )

(Hiding)

(She has no desire to be seen by ANY sidhe of this place)

The sidhe looks about, and then slips in muttering to himself "smart lad, if only he weren't so revolting. " the 'door' closes, hidden again. But Zara can hear his voice "Where did I put Saturn at Play?"

A faint sneer of disdain.

"There we are, Chronos doesn't help everything, but it does help" A flipping of pages "I can't believe I forgot about this."

More shuffling, then, "The Duke is being far too soft about this whole thing, humoring the Liam as he is to have this 'defense' nonsense. But I am a servant of his grace."

Narrow eyes.

A voice, another voice speaks up , a feminine one "So you are, have you work for me today?"

"No, Madame Mirror . Unless you know how that sluagh woman bypassed the no cantrip ward I helped construct? "

Oh, he is the responsible one.

"You asked me before," the voice returns from inside "And I warned you that no prison is perfect, and one rung on a ladder may not be enough, but several rungs might make a flight"

"Cryptic word play, I sense you mean she had help from a past prisoner, but that still doesn't explain everything." The Seer says

"Nothing explains EVERYTHING, Seer," The voice replies "Why don't you ask me who is the fairest if you want an answer I can give by opinion alone?"

The seer sniffs "Sometimes I wonder why I even keep you"

"Vanity, I imagine, that's why most folks keep excess mirrors" Madame Mirror states

"It wasn't a question," The seer says huffily

"My mistake" Madame Mirror replies, "Will there be anything else? Would you like me to tell you of the coversations of the day here?"

"As I'm the only one you talk to, No ,I do not." The seer says and asks "is anyone outside this room who might see me exit?"

"The boy is still gone" The mirror replies.
