Piper is thoughtful for a few long moments, then looks to Siv. "If your parents leaving means it doesn't feel like home, then was Rivervale ever really your home? Or is 'home' to you just where your family is? That's what it sounds like to me. Which is not a dig against Rivervale, not in the least. It's a lovely place. But... I feel the same. My home is where you two are. Whether that's in New Jersey, or at sea, or anyplace else."

She considers, "Maybe we could go on the road for a while, once the babies are stable? Well, on the water, in the Narwhal. After your parents leave - we could travel... call it a mix of a honeymoon, maternity leave, and a start for our fam focused on just each other? And after that... we can see? I've lived the tour life, and as nice as our apartment is, I don't NEED to settle in one place, as long as I have my fam with me." Smiling to Jonas as well.

Jonas says "Siv, I agree with Piper on a lot of things, but, it is possible you're acting out of pain and shock too. You can be impulsive... by troll standards . Think it over, if you still feel it is right, then ... of course we can be anywhere you two are happiest and the children will be provided for. " A beat "And regardless, I think a BIT of travel , tour or not, might be a great honeymoon month"

Siv gives Piper a hug, then sighs at Jonas "Ever the sensible one, isn't he? But aye Piper, I guess I need to think on if Rivervale ever was home. When I was young and on the sea of dreams, my mother and father, it's a blur, but they praised Rivervale, told me SO much about the home waiting for me. And now, they don't want it? It.. kind of shatters a few foundations of what I thought was what. They've a right to go, of course. I just.. hit me like a ton of bricks. Though I do support them"

“Yeah, I can see that. I’m kinda surprised- Alaska, brrr. Why not return to the dreaming and sail the seas? At least there they won’t go the way of the Grump.”

"oh, I don't think that scares my folks. They'll come back around again on the great cycle. Maybe get to meet again " Siv says "but, in defense of Alaska, it really IS pretty, but aye, cold. Sounds like if we ever settle down full time outside of Rivervale that sounds like a 'no' to Alaska" Wryly

“More like a HELL no.” She smiles.

"I'm more of a Carribean lover myself " Jonas admits "That IS where I was found"

"Aye, with hurricane victims" Siv grins at them both

"Fine. We'll see. I know Goldfinch is sspecial to you, PIper. SO.. we won't rush things, and it won't be a stranger"

She shakes her head slowly. “Goldfinch is wonderful, but it’s not mine. I’m so glad it’s here for everyone that doesn’t fit in at Rivervale, and it’s a great for inspiring dreamers as well, but it’s not something that would hold me back if we wanted to look at someplace new.”

Siv actually looks surprised at that, then nods "noted."

"Now, " Jonas says "Piper, you seem a lot better, thanks to Sylvi. I think we caan get you out a bit sooner if we don't come across as you miracle cured"

Siv grumbles something about Doctor chilly ass

"I appreciatethat, but I don't want to leave - not before they let the babies out. Damned if I want to leave them under Dr. Buttface's care..." grumbling as well.

"We'll work on an angle ," Jonas says "Her record say she's an excellent doctor, so perhaps the gentler touch. A small vacation or prize?"

"We have to pay for her to leave? Annoying" Siv says "We'll see what we can do. I'm the weak link out of the three of us."

Piper fidgets. "If she's a GOOD doctor... maybe we should be glad they're in her care. It's just.... UGH, you know?!"

Siv bites her lip "I did consider sabatoging her car so it wouldn't start. Make her miss some hours here and there"

"But what if we keep her away and then something happens?" Now Piper is looking worried.

"They have other doctors" Siv points out "And we have resources"

"For now, let's leave it be and see how it goes" Jonas suggests "if it takes adown turn chill wise, we do what we must. Until then we grin and bear it?"

"I'll bear it, but I ain't gonna grin."

"Me neither" Siv says stubbornly

Jonas nods "Very well, we are agreed. There will be no grinning." Stoic beyond stoic

Okay, now that makes a little smile creep out.

Siv pokes Jonas "mmph"

Jonas lip twitches juuust a bit at the little smile and poke "I do love you both, you know? But, while i too worry, I know we will be fine. The babies too. I have.. faith in us."

That gets him a kiss on the cheek from Siv, "Softy. I suppose I just want to hold our babies sooner rather than later, but we do whats best for them even if it stinks. Aye."
