Apricot, The diluted tortyshell domestic short hair waits inside her containment area with a few other cats, six years young, the 8pound feline wonders if this time when she goes home, it will stick.

Bored out of his mind, Thackery, the black and white domestic longhair eyes the tail of another cat above. He contemplates a swipe at it. That would at least be something.

The two black kittens, Bibbity and Bobbity wrestle each other now and then. Cute, young, only the fear of bad luck would make them a no sale

If Ellen Noir knew her tail was being eyed, the silver tabby long hair would give Thackery a warning look. She is busy drinking and does not wish to be disturbed

Prissy , not a cat, but a redcap, eyes folks going by the Shelter's display "Hey you! YEAH YOU. Buy a cat to love or I'll sic a demon feline on you while you sleep. I know one!"

A man gulps "Ah, I need to call my wife..."

"She allergic?"

"Nooo"

"Then call her and tell her you got a cat !" Prissy says

The other volunteer from the Shelter returns from her bathroom break, "Prissy, no! That's not how we get them adopted"

"Why not? he's got his wallet out and everything" Prissy says as the man she was speaking to was doing just that with shaking hands.

"You just DOn"T" Says the shelter worker.

Prissy sighs. Finding projects for Community service is hard enough without folks tying her hands like this.
