One hand touches Callidora softly, as the other pulls his gun from its cradle next to him.

CC stirs lightly

the mortal enters in,, rough looking, eyes searching. He has a gun

EBG takes careful aim in the dark, scarcely moving, and fires.

The man cries out and drops...

CC has drawn a knife only to see the man down

EBG kicks out of bed, keeping the gun on him, and takes the downed man's gun. Everyone's ears are ringing from the shot.

Indeed, there's a reason folks at gun ranges where ear protection

William observes him; is the man dead?

Dying. He could be saved maybe. Looks like signs of track marks on the arms.

"He's bleeding on our floor." Willam observes "It would involve resources and a hospital drop-off."

"A addict, from the look of it." He reaches over and relocks the door.

"Do you feel like playing nurse?" he asks Callidora. Loudly.

"Damn it..." CC moves and gets the first aid kit

"Mmph. Bind him well, wounds and limbs." William advises as he clambers over and up into the cab. "I'll get us to medical attention."

"this is going to cause some unwanted attention"

"Mmm. Veil me and I'll drag him out to be found."

"Right... I've stoped the bleeding"

"Search him for ID and anything else interesting." he drives sedately "Wonderful work, Dearest."

"Got it... Clarence Clark Clydwell? God. Did his parents hate him? I'd turn to drugs too"

"Leave him his money, if there is any. But keep the ID. He'll have to be processed and it will take time without an ID. Longer care."

"Clever" She says

"Mm. Dearest, is he bound? Are you free to join me?"

"He's bound... ready?" She invokes a veil

"Not just yet, no. Help me find a hospital first, I cannot drive and use the map at the same time."

"Gotcha" She names the nearest hospital, about 15 minutes thataway

And off they go.

15 minutes later.....

"I'll take that veil now, Dearest, if you will. Do you mind cleaning up a bit while I tote? We'll want to move along." He squeezes back and unlocks the door, ready to haul the guy out and hoist him to his shoulder.

"Oh sure, make a slave of me, mama was right, I should have married that accountant" A wink despite the grim work. She touches Emerson and veils him

A snort, and he drags the guy out towards the light of the door they are parked well-away from.

(Dex plus stealth, though Veil SHOULD work)

THey close on the area... a nurse comes out to vape, but no, doesn't sense them

He lays the man down gently and backs away slowly, taking the veil with him.

And there is a faint chill from the nurse.

He doesn't move too fast, and draw attention, but neither does he dawdle. Time to be going.

And go he does. He and CC rejoin
