Thistle is busy in her workshop... and if she notices a Glennie has snuck in and curled up to enjoy the heat of tthe room? Who is to say? Muppet's not supposed to be inside. But he is a fae hound, and they're smart

Muppet will not go unmolested. There are a LOT of Nevers.

Thistle is messing around with a burner and several bubbling pots.

Muppet, if provoked, playfully 'snaps' at them, but never rreally closing the jaws. He knows his person (She is his person, she's just stubborn!) likes them. Still... he may end up with some pixie dust staining his muzzle. Makes it look like he's been chowing down on rainnbow sprinkles

"Silly mutt."

She sniffs at a vial - she has been trying to extract eau-de-spriggan from a sample of the cloth.

His tail wags and rattles some tin molds. The nevers giggle and chime over the amelodic sound, and one even goes down to tap on the tin to try to show Muppet the PROPER way to "clink" and "clank"

Thud, thud - knock? Knock Knock - Yes, there is a knock this time, before the door opens and Art busts in. He tried.

"THISTLE! You must see what I received for Yule!"

The vial makes her eyes water and nostril hairs curl. Ugh! It would make good smelling salts.

Muppet wags/clank/clink as Art bursts in.

Thistle looks up, startled. She is wearing goggles, which only accentuate the expression.

"Hey! Yeah? Wanna smell this? It's VILE."

(Thistle) sniffs at a vial - she has been trying to extract eau-de-spriggan from a sample of the cloth.

From across the grounds comes the clang-clang of the hammer and tongs at Willy's forge.

Some of the stench from Thistle's workshop reaches WIlly's.

Her forge flares with a neon green flame, snapping and sparkling dangerously! Willy leaps back, cursing the fire back into the forge.

She jams the metal into the quenching trough and storms out the door, following her nose.

Purple and yellow smoke!

and Nevers.

Chime? A coral-pink one inquires.

Willy uses her boot to knock. THUD THUD THUD

Oh dear, there's more Nevers.

They, at least, have noticed her.

Willy swats at 'em, trying to get a clear look inside "What in the name of fire and ice is going on in here? You damn near KILLED me!" and yes, her eyebrows do look a bit.... crispy.

"Huh?" The blue-haired nocker looks up from her bubbling pots. "Hey Willy!" A grin from behind the goggles.

"THE HELL?" Willy repeats.

"The hell? I'm just... experimenting.."

She sniffs and gags/coughs. "Getting close, too!"

Willy fans her nose, and several Nevers are threatened. "Experimenting with what, redcap farts? You could peel paint with that!!"

"I'm trying to isolate spriggan-stink."

The Nevers flee to hide on/around Thistle.

Chime! One blows a tiny raspberry at the older nocker.

"What the fuck FOR!?!?"

"Well, y'heard about the attempted puppy kidnapping, right?"

"It was a Spriggan-thing, Gwen said. And there's a bounty out to catch it, but the Baron is also worried because, apparently, Spriggans also steal kids."

"Anyhow, the Nevers don't like the smell the Spriggan left, near as I can tell. They react to where it was, at least. So, like, I figured I could maybe use Never sensitivity and teach a device to, like, recognize the smell?"

"But, of course, I need a good sample of the smell, and the Spriggan got away, so I'm extracting it from what it left behind..."

Willy's lip curls "Left behind?"

Several greenware pieces are drying on a shelf behind Thistle - pots with oversized noses on grotesque faces.

"Well, some dirt it touched, but mostly the bag it use and tried to run off with. So, like, I've been breaking THAT down... burlap smell, and dog smell, and then the important Stink."

Willy coughs. "Yeah, well.... I guess that's ok. Keep it on your side of the compound."

"I was thinking of just making something to try and track it? But Linnea had this idea we could put them in places where we have kids - like, Art's got a little brother, and Blossom's still a little kid, and places like that..."

"Hey, did you know somethin' happened to your eyebrows?"

"Look, kids are... my what?!?!" She reaches up to touch her face.

"They look kinda crispy." She scowls. "Now, I think I know how to make them go ding when there's stuff. What I can't figure is how to make it so it alerts someone here they went ding..."

Cursing and muttering, Willy uses a window or something as a mirror....

The cursing and muttering cranks up a couple notches when she sees the damage.

"See?"

"THIS!!! THIS is YOUR fault!!!" she points at her own face.

"How?"

"Your fercackta stink made the forge flare and did this!"
