THE KEY CLUB

Emerson has given the name "Roger Fletcherclutch" for this excursion.

"Fletcherclutch?"

"Has style, don't you think?"

"i'm afraid I'll sneeze and say it dirty" a smile as they approach the building. The key club looks like one of those out of the way pool halls or craft stores or.. actually, there's a light magic that makes it seem overlookable at first. But as they enter, there's a jingle of keys

He enters, wide-eyed.

"Here we go, Roger," Brenda says as she gestures to what looks to be a combination hobby shop (That hobby being lock picking) and workshop area.

"Oh my....." he breathes, impressed.

He steps in. "Hallo?"

"Hey" A boggan greets them. Young fellow, wilder but only recently turned. "Oh hello, mrs. Thomas. Who is your friend?"

"THis is Roger Fletcherclutch..." SHe answers

"So pleased to meet you...." he gushes, offering his hand.

"I'm Bran. " He shakes the hand "Nice to meet you. Welcome to the keyclub"

"Thank you."

'Roger' can see changelings practicing on locks, or playing what looks like magician props for a show. There's a strait jacket for sale with a book on how to get out of it. A few mortals are being mused by some kithain. ANd he sees a handsome looking nocker helping a kid with a puzzlebox. That must be Dylan

He glances from Mrs. Thomas to probably-Dylan and back again. Is that him?

A soft nod of Brenda's head, subtle

"Can I get you two drinks? We have coffee and tea in the back" Bran offers

"Oh my, tea sounds heavenly. For you, Mrs. Thomas?"

"One for me too, thank you, Bran" SHe smiles

Bran grins and rushes off

"Will you introduce me to the man himself?" 'Roger' murmurs.

"Just a minute. He's still musing. This is a hold, but not a strong one" voice low "So they rely on musing"

Roger nods, and browses.

Hey, they have books for sale, fiction as well as how to stuff. The fiction includes a fantasy series HE helped inspire, about rebellion

A wry smile as he flips through it.

Yes, the crown breaker series. Makes him proud to know the lad who wrote it.

"Dylan? Do you have a moment?" Brenda can be heard. Looks like the kid is being left with the puzzlebox.

Roger trails over.

"Sure, Brenda" he comes over, "What's up? More lock picking lessons?"

"No, this is a friend I wanted you to meet, Roger Fletcherclutch" A smile "Roger, this is Dylan"

The elder boggan next to the vibrant satyr fidgets and then darts forward to shake hands "A pleasure to meet you, quite a pleasure indeed....."

"Relax man, I'm just another furking guy" Dylan says easily and shakes the hand "They won't let me get a swelled head around here..and I like it that way. Oh hey, drinks."

Bran brought tea for them, and coffee for Dylan

"Thank you." He smiles to Bran.

"Yer welcome"

Dylan says "yeah, thanks Bran. " A smile. "Well, Roger, as Brenda probably told you, this is the Key Club. Escapology, lock picking, like for shows and such if we want, but mostly for fun. Great if you have an old car and forget your keys. You interested in that sort of thing?"

"MMm... oh, no." he say sheepishly "My interest is in the Arts. You know. The Arts."

"Do you think we might speak privately?"

He looks over Brenda, then says "This way, my man" he guides him to follow

Roger follows.

Cool. The 'secret door' is obviously not a secret or they'd protect it more, but it's neat to see a wall open

He looks impressed!

It slide behind him "YeaH I know, embarrasing. You push the discolored brick and it opens. But it gets the childlings tickled so I guess it's not complete drek. " The room IS small and private, a table with a few chairs "Have a seat, Roger. What are you hoping to learn? Infusion? Wayfare?"

"Oh, no... no, I think it's far past my time to learn a new Art..." bashfully "But to learn -of- them? I have heard of these Art of the Seasons? Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter? Recently Chrysalized Fae seem to have cantrips that haven't been seen in living memory."

"Oh they're bursting all over" he nods "look, nothing beats Legedemain for picking locks , and Wayfare makes it so you don't have to if you get to Portal passage but Autumn is really handy for finding a weak point along it's learning. Winter can put a whole security system in suspended animation, though that's pretty top tier. Any art can be useful . "

"What of Spring?" a bit wistfully.

"It can inspire new ideas, heal wounds, grow plants like a mother.. and, rumor has it, let you talk to a dead loved one for a short period of time."

"It can't... restore youth, can it? Have you heard?"

"Temporary again.. for true youth restoral you'd probably have to hit the dreaming, my friend" A sympathetic look

"There , well, Fountain of youth, golden apples, sea of ages" He shrugs "All deadly and unlikely to succeed"
