The staff at the DuBois mansion note that the car that pulls into the circular drive is not being driven at a break-neck pace, nor screeching to a halt. Thus, Chloe is clearly not in the driver's seat. However, she does emerge from the back seat, and one of the staff, a maid somewhere in her mid-twenties, meets them to inform Chloe that the guest room is set up and that her parents are still off on a trip, so they have the mansion to themselves.

August is likely to remember that the DuBois staff have a notable talent for showing up when called for and otherwise staying out of sight. It's not boggan-ish, but professional.

CLaire tries to hide any discomfort she feels as she rises out of the car, helped by her husband

August will hand Corad..... Chloe out if she allows, and someone needs to get River.

The staff are on the ball, already prepared and all

River sits in the baby chair of the car, seemingly deserted. her brow folds into the scowl of one who would like to speak to the manager

"Ah, Magnus?"

"Anthony, don't worry about me, get the baby" Claire fusses

"Oh right!" the new father coughs

"MagNIFICENT day, yes?" August covers.

and moves to the baby "Yes, quite"

Coradel gets Claire's other side to escort her in.

August offers his arm to Claire just a beat too late.

"I can't remember, Clare...have you visited here? Anthony, I know you have."

"It's been a while" Claire admits

August is more than welcome to take Clare's free arm while Anthony gets the baby, but one way or another, they all get inside the house.

The staff ask "Miss? Is there anything you require?"

Coradel/Chloe announces the guests to the servants. "This is Clare, and you know Anthony, and this is their new baby, River. They'll be with us a few days...and I think it's best if we get Clare up to the guest room right away."

To Clare, she says, "We'll take the stairs slowly. I think Papa is planning on having an elevator put in at some point, but it hasn't been a priority yet."

August nods. "We'll take them slowly together." it's an offer.

"I"ll be fine..." Clare says proudly

It's then that one servant says "If you aren't offended, Henry and I can lift her up by chair "

August was about to assure her that yes, of course she can.... and then the servant throws themselves on that hand grenade.

Clare starts to bristle

"Oh, I think Clare will be terribly annoyed by that. Ignore her. Do it." Chloe gives Clare a firm look.

August puts a calm hand on her arm where it rests on his. "Allow them this honor." he urges softly.

"Anthony, let's take the baby up first...." Chloe walks with the new father, who may feel a little anxious on the stairs with his daughter.

She has a hand on his arm to guide him so he can focus on holding the new tiny person.

August escorts Claire to the chair waiting for her.

"Fine" Claire sits with a huff

"Right, come along River... " Her dad says "Come on little one"

August nods to the servants. "Thank you."

And WAY up, and up she rises as Claire gets a smooth ride

She leads them up the grand staircase and then down a bright corridor to the left. "Here we are...." she indicates an open door, and she looks in first. "Oh, well done," she says as much to herself as to anybody else, pleased.

The guest room is immaculate yet warm. Can't faul the DuBois for not knowing fashion

August preceeds the chair up the stairs to the room.

The room boasts very large windows and flowing gauzy curtains, easy chairs, bureaus, a table where two could sit, and a large bed all made up with bright sheets and multiple pillows. Ah, and there to one side is a pretty little bassinette and changing table.

"There's a washroom through here, too," Coradel points out the door to the en suite. "So very convenient."

He steps in and to the side to Claire can be brought in.

"Okay, this... "CLaire admits "is really nice, thank you, Chloe"

"Only the best for you three. Now, you get comfortable. You both probably need a nap."

August waits by the door for Coradel.

River starts to cry...

"Oh Let's hope she's hungry and not angry about the color of the walls" Claire says

"Do you wants us to go, or would you rather we keep you company?" she offers.

"You two go on , I'm about to drop boob and while I see no shame in that I..."

from outside, thee's a roar of a car pulling in, loud engine

August frowns slightly and goes to peek out the window.

"Okay, that's fi...." Then a puzzled look. "August? Can you see who it is?"
