A questioning look as she stumbles over which name to use.

"Nadeen while she's enchanted is fine, or Tanya"

When Nadeen enters, she turns to drop into a delicate curtsy, no less elegant for that she's wearing slacks rather than a gown.

"Lady, forgive my presumption, but would you care for a warm drink? The weather still has a bit of a bite to it."

Sylvi nods, glad to have the name thing clarified.

"Listen, I've got to report in. You're both good?"

"it does, and a warm drink is fine. Now, Flo, do you like Flo or florence? you too should pik your name" And a nod to Sylvi "yes, Sylvi, thank you" A lower whisper "Especially for knowledge"

A nod at the whisper. "Oh, and...uh, Flo, I think I'm going to take care of my bedroom myself. You don't need to do anything there." She waves bye to both of them and heads off, after giving Pyshka a little scritch between the ears.

The dog wags happily. She likes Sylvi

And the troll bridge is gone.

After pouring water, Flo is carefully offering her hand to the dog, palm up. Not frightened, but... Pyshka IS a lot of dog. "Who is this?"

"Pyskha, she is my protector, and companion, a Caucasionn Shepherd, or Russian Bear Dog if you prefer"

"They're an assertive breed but she's very well trained and will not hurt you or Rian. I do want her to meet you both so she'll know you are allies. " A look to the dogg "This is Flo... we will protect her yes?"

Assuming that the dog sniffs her hand without offering outright threat, she gives her a tentative pat, with a smile. "I would fear for anyone who might threaten you with such a brave companion. And you may of course call me as you wish, Lady, but Flo is what I usually go by, short and sweet..."

"As long as it is preferred too. You're in a world have in and out as you know. I want you to enjoy it"

Pyskha makes a note not to bite this one for being on the property, and put her under her car.

Carefully stroking her head, Flo speaks, "Miss Sylvi was kind enough to show me around. I wanted to make sure that I knew what was expected of me before I started, so I would not misstep. She mentioned that some rooms might be warded?"

Pyshka sniffs the hand, and when Flo leans in to pet her, snuffles curiously at her chest.

"Yes, I've had my own room warded" She ponders "I may have to remove that for you." A look at her dog's reaction and kens at that.

A spot of glamour glows on Flo's chest, something under her clothes, perhaps?

"Flo? do you have a treasure or something?"

Her cheeks redden, and she nods to Nadeen. "It is a simple thing... a gift from my previous master. He tired of me forgetting, so I was to wear it when I waited upon him..." She pulls out a slender chain necklace, on which hangs a ring that seems to have been forged from an old coin.

"I apologize, should I have mentioned it?" Bowing her head a bit as she moves to take off the chain, should Nadeen request it, though she seems a touch reluctant.

She says "you must becareful of fairiy gifts, my dear. Do you know what dream struck is?" And sshe does offer her hand "I would like to look it over"

She nods solemnly. "I do, Lady." Flo removes the chain and offers it to Nadeen. "It was more his convenience than my own... but it helps me remember, even so, so I do treasure it. Someday, I wished to give it to Rian..."

She takes it carefully and looks it over for marks and such

"Very Irish. This 'master' of yours, do you remember his House?"

Her eyes down, she murmurs, "Sir Donnach of the Rose and the Harp, lady. I was not given his mortal name." A worried glance back up at her. "Lady, I do not wish to return to his service, even had he not dismissed me... I will be a good servant for you, I swear it."

"Yes. Flo, I am told you were.. gifted?" the word is hard to swallow even for her

A simple nod. "He was a hunter of treasures, lady, and returned with a great gift for his liege from the dreaming. He was granted a boon, and chose me, to serve him." Her cheeks a touch reddened.

"Who, may I ask, was his liege?"

"When last I served him, he was a knight errant, taking on quests that suited him. I served as but a minor handmaiden to a court lady under Duchess Lenore of the Kingdom of Munster, in what they call Hibernia - this is where I learned courtly manner, and hope that it does not displease you. My lady - my prior Lady - took notice of me when I was visiting the isle, and, she would say, 'plucked' me to serve. A long way from here. Sir Donnach quested for the Duchess, and was granted a boon - This was several years ago, though. I returned to the states when I was dismissed."

"And you were dismissed for carrying his child, I am guessing?"

Her cheeks flare bright red. She says, a little stiffly, "He no longer had use for me, Lady. I was given a choice, and I chose Rian. His name, lady, is not the Irish 'Rian', though many take it as such. It is short for Florian. I named him for me, as I am his only parent." A touch of backbone in the demure lass after all!

"So you are, Flo," A nod, approving "Let me explain something to you so it is clear. Much as a part of me might long for the days of absolute rule, you are not any one's property. You are not to be 'gifted' or traded, or any such thing. You are a servant, but you are not a slave" a sad look 'And I am sorry you shouldn't have been treated as one ever. Are you famliar with the name Shacklebreaker?"

"I do not begrudge the court... they treated me well - just as befit my station. I am not Kithain, lady." She shakes her head at the question.

"No, but you are a person" She says "the treasure " She hands it back "I will have it omened and looked over later to make sure there are not more fell enchantmenns hidden within it. Also, I want you to go without it now and then so you don't risk dream struckness. "

She nods. "I will wear it only when I come to serve you, if it pleases you, Lady."

"Nothing so drastic. Just forego it 3 days out of the week. And again, if I find out it has some sinister link well, I'll have to work onn salvaging it. I'm afraid paranoia is a way of life for we Varich. If Sir Donnach makes contact with you again, you are to let me know, though it does not sound like he is likely too. "

She shakes her head. "I don't believe so, Lady. Else he would have had the chance these past two years."

"Why did he ggift you so though?" Curiously "He doesn't sound the generous sort"

"He was a hunter of treasures, things much grander than this. It was an annoyance to him to have to enchant me when he had need of my services... it was for his own benefit, lady. He did not request it's return when I left."

A little quieter, "I think he was glad to see me go, lady." Not quite shame in her tone, but not far off.

"Flo, that was a failing him, not you." A hand on her shoulder

She smiles up at Nadeen. "Shall you show me the rest of my duties?"

"Yes, let me open my door. It's warded but onnce I open it.. this way" She leads her up

She follows. "Miss Sylvi said to skip her room, but if she leaves her laundry out, please, it's as easy to do it all as to do some. I do not mind."

"that would be kind and you must excuse, Sylvi. She doesn'tt realize that if everyone did their own laundry freehold economy could collapse"

Flo blinks at this, and then muffles a giggle behind her hand.

"Did I upset her earlier? I'm afraid I mistook her for also being in your service. I hope I did not offend her." Remembering how the troll rushed out to speak to Nadeen as soon as she arrived.

"She was upset, but not with you, rather how you had been treated," She explains "She's a good person and does not care for slavery."
