"Can we get her to a hospital?"

"Bit more dross.. I can get here there" Gerd says "I can do it"

Brekke exits the portal and sees the group clustered around the body. "What happened?" she says as she goes to one knee by them.

"Got some.." SHe offers.

Zane hands some dross over "here."

"She might not be documented. I need to know where she goes... so I can make sure Mom takes care of her, later..."

"Bergen Memorial" Gerd says "It's the one I know"

Frank climbs into the Rig and starts it. Adam can ride shotgun if he wants! And he does!

A glance to Brekke. "She's the one." Nodding to the woman. "Maybe not the only one. But she got the worst of it."

"I think she was a favorite." His face twists as he spits this out.

"Let me..." Brekke holds out a hand for the dross, and Sylvi eagerly hands it over.

Symon slides his over as well.

She takes each piece of dross, one at a time, and snaps it before resting the broken pieces on the woman's body in a line from pelvis to brow, murmuring in Norwegian the entire time.

Brekke the troll stares at her work.. the others do as well.. the woman will live.. yes, so much damage undone. Brekke the park ranger feels confusion as the dross is gobbled so greedily.. so fast... and.. wait, what's dross?

And Vali calls out "Carowyn, here!"

A puzzled expression...she blinks a few times....

And the Liam moves up.. but to the Ranger it looks like she's surrounded by strangers...

and some family and friends true

"I...what is...?"

"Let me explain" A man she barely knows puts a hand on her shoulder "My name is Carowyn... and I will lighten your load"

"Why are we here?" Baffled, to Sylvi.

She blinks at Carowyn. "I don't understand...."

And pulls away from him.

A girl... Sam? Niece?... stands to hold Brekke gently by the shoulders. "It's okay..."

As she pulls ...something rips from her , soemthing brackish.. thick and gray

"Samantha? It's the middle of the night...and we shouldn't be out here, not without masks...?"

and...some of the banality is gone

"I know, we'll go home soon..." ANd Sam pushes some of her own glamour into the Chief.

A deep breath, like that first good lungful of air after a bout of pneumonia. "Oh...oh." Another breath, and a nod. "It is all right. I am all right." She looks to both Carowyn and Dagmar. "Thank you."

She looks a bit embarrassed. Ashamed?

"None of that shit." Symon fusses and smacks a bit of his own glamour into Sam with a slender hand against her back.

"We're ALL walking out of here, damnit. None of your stupid heroics."

"Are you the only one who can fly that thing? You, Siv and Frank or..can you give someone permission?" Gerd asks the Chief

Speaking of the Kestrel

"Yes. But...let me get there. Can she be moved?" she indicates the mortal.

"I texted my mom. She'll know what to do." He says, with certainty.

"AnnMarie will know, for sure."

"You will need to carry her, Dagmar. Go..." she gestures the others to get to the Kestrel across the ice.

Dagmar nods, and picks up the injured woman once more.

"So do we have your okay?" Gerd asks

A BLAST from an air horn, a trucker triumphant, a departure announced.......

As they cross the ice

The blast bring a grin to Brekke's face. Then to Gerd she says, "I can do it." Stubborn.

Sparrow has called Ann Marie, updating her, making sure the boggan can activate next steps...

Brekke wants to be sure everybody else is aboard the boat before she climbs up.

And when they are all aboard, Brekke tells the Kestrel to steer for home.
