"She is!" Ariel nods "So.. wait.. where were you? Not that you gotta tell me I just. .sounds like she found you while you were doing something?"

"COuntess Jessica has a guest, a troll named Gerd. I was showing her around."

"Gerd? I KNOW her!" A grin then she whispers "She has the ugliest name. She's nice, but her name is like.. gah"

"Well... it's an unusual name..."

"It's a terrible name. It's like the Da'an is punishing her" The satyress seems certain of this

"No, it's not."

"Okkaay" A shrug

"There are worse names."

"Like?"

"Pubert."

She stops, then blinks, "Okay...Gerd is now the SECOND worst name ever"

"Fair."

"Oh.. she can Flicker flash.. did you know? Bet she just beamed on in"

Actually, she came through some door.. that much Ellie saw

"Well, I saw her come in a door..."

"What door?" Startled

"Um... the one by [place]?"

"Neat... we could check it out sometime?"

"Do you think it's a trod?"

"Only one way to find out" She smiles

"True!"

Huff. "We'll need an adult."

"Oh." A sigh Then "Even for trods?"

"I think so."

"Darn. " She sighs "Sometimes it's nicer to pretend you don't know exactly what they meant... but Clem says that's not very honorable"

Siiiigh. Nod.

Fortunately, cinnamon rolls are a great comfort.

"The kittens will be a week old soon" After a bit "But they won't be like... safe to touch yet" Sigh

"Maybe if we touch real careful?"

"Better play it safe and wait just a bit longer.." She ponders "oh.. we could pet Mamacita and ask her to carry the love?"

Ariel smiles "We'll talk to Salma about it. She's smart..probably already read up all on cats and kitten care"

"True! Oh, we need to find out what books Salma likes."

"She likes the one about that little girl..."

"Uh-huh. Chapter books."

"Yeah. I wonder if she's like Charlotte's Web? On the farm almost everyone has read it" She doesn't mention that unless Wilbur started talking to trolls, he'd end up as bacon.

"What's that one about?"

"You don't know Charlotte's Web? Ooo it's hard to explain but it's about a pig named Wilbur mostly.. .but there's Fern, the girl who took care of him, and Charlotte.. she's SUPER Important, and a spider... but not a creepy one... not often..she's a writer. And Templeton, he's a rat and... oh I don't want to spoil it"

"I hope she's not a creepy spider."

"Well she seems much nicer than some... and Wilbur is a dear..." She says "Oh. I can ask Coy to get the book"

"Is there a trod to the Farm?"

"Long way around kind o thing" She says "Not always safe. I had to have an escort"

"Sure. Grown ups are awful insistent about that."

"They are.. it's like.. what's the point of questing? they treat us like LITTLE Kids when we're like.. half way to fourteen!"
