Earl paints, Zara knits, the needles clicking softly away.

She also has a book propped up to read as her fingers deftly twist stitches.

Earl glances at her frequently and smiles

Given the riot of rainbow shades, this pair is likely for a relative.

"My moon kniting rainbows to make the sun envy"

"Oh..." A little smile. "Well then."

Indeed, she can see his current painting is a scene much like that, a silver lady both part of a crescent moon and using it as a hamock kniting moonbows

A soft chuff, pleased. "Methinks you cannot paint only me... but I confess, thy moon-ladies please me greatly."

"I promise, my next one will be of some ugly sidhe" A wink

"Actually, I was thinking of something with August," he says

"Or inspired by"

"Oh?"

"You know I run toward the macabre, but there is something to be said for a righteous man full of light walking safely through shadows and terrors.... usually clearing a path for others."

"...Aye..."

"But I did think of something more morbid still, where he is sinking into a river devoured by the spirits there.. not AUGUST but someone akin to him"

"Intriguing..."

"Leave it to the viewer - can he escape, or shall he succumb?"

"That's... a very good point..." He smiles "And kind of August all over anyway. He's got a gift for getting in over his head some days ,and then pulling off some amazing things the other"

"Aye." Indulgently.

"I suppose if I make Coradel the river you'd find it going too far?" is he testing her?

Hisssssss.

"She is no river."

"Nix on the River sidhe" He says somberly

or at least he SEEMS to be somber. Is there a twinkle in his eye?

"Hmph!"

Oh yes. He dares to twinkle but goes back to painting

"So what would she be? If one were to equate her to nature?

"Fire. Coradel has always been fire."

"Redheads often are," he says with a smile

"Often - though the painter, she is not. I think her air, and not just for the wings."

"The wind is unrooted, nu? It cannot be happy standing still."

"This is true, Sparrow is..." He tries to think of it, "She's the last summer breeze, riding hi, yet forever worried the autumn is going to quell what she adores"

"Aye. Melancholy."

A pause. "I do appreciate melancholy."

"I don't know, sometimes she seems to want a place of her own, that doesn't seem like standing still?"

She shrugs. "Are sidhe ever content?"

"That's a good question. I suppose that's a price they pay much like we trolls can be over protective." An apologetic look, "I've tried to get better"

"You have. And, well... I've been known to have my peculiarities."

"I love 90% of your particularities" He says matter of factly

Eyebrow. "And the other ten?"

"Mmm can I have five minutes to think of a good response?" A smile

Then he says "The other ten drive me mad, but I love them too for they are a part of you"

"Good answer."

"Thank you, I have become quite the survivalist" Straight faced

"So long as I am there to find thee."

"The only reason I might ever hide from thee is so that thou might gain joy in the seeking, and we both know your hunter is not always the most stealthy of prey"
