Coradel steps back into the dining room and returns to her place, saying, "Now...where were we?"

"Planning. We have a proposal, and a request."

"Yes? Let me hear them."

"We believe that with a combination of Naming, Soothsay, and Sovereign," she nods at Rosco and Almandine in turn, "that we may create a.... pathway, to coax an Arcadian soul to the girl."

"Furthermore, we should be able to bar... mm... those which would threaten Earth Runes."

"Interesting. Is this to coax a specific soul, if we discover a name?"

A grin. "That is a definite bonus."

"More than that, rather than a specific individual, we list qualifications rather than request a specific person"

She shakes her head. "Nay. More... the shape of a soul, aye? And trust in Da'an."

"Qualifications? Such as..."

Bachdion looks apologetic at Zara "Pardon, perhaps I spoke too freely?"

She shakes her head at the satyr, reassuring him that he's fine. "Tis better to work with Fate, rather than command it. But.... well, we would, I think, most desire a seelie house?"

"The Lion and Oak rule, but the Moon and Stars are not unwelcome, nor the Hammer. Nay, even a Falcon may find pleasant roost."

"Ah, and so create a sort of...filter?...that allows only certain possibilities through. To me, that feels like a fair amount of request without risking angering Da'an to the point that it might give us some ironically troublesome addition to the hold."

She nods. "I approve."

Rosco the Namer nods "That's the plan, Baroness.. qualities you hope for such as courage, and fairness might be encouraged."

"But... for the best chance of success, twould do well to tap the Balefire to help lend power to the casting."

"Which would require your permission," The Seer nods.

Coradel sips her wine and looks thoughtful. "Ideally, it would be closer to one of the high holidays, when glamour seems more abundant. But this must be done quickly. How much burden do you think this will put upon the balefire?"

"I think the power of a chrysalis will return more than the casting takes."

"Arcadians, in particular, tend to be rather sparkly."

"If it works at once, yes. But if there is a delay...I would not have EarthRunes powerless."

"With... 1, 2, 3, 4..." A pause, and then a finger pointed at Coradel "...5 casters, the burden will not be on the fire entire."

"But the resonance of the fire, aye? Its nature. That speaks to Da'an, too, when we call."

A nod of acknowledgment at her point.

"Well...I think I like this plan very much. Good. Now, to abduct the child. Tonight or tomorrow?"

A fluid shrug.

"Readings suggest tomorrow will be more ideal," Almandine says.

"We will need a stand-in, in case somebody comes to check on her." She looks pointedly down the table at Eugenia.

Zara murmurs to herself. "Two namers, two sovereigns, two soothsayers, the satyr to manage banality..."

She follows Cora's gaze and nods. "Aye. Smart."

Eugenia looks over noticing she is now object of attention and the young girl smooths her dress and checks her hair.

"Eugenia, I trust you will have no objection to filling in our abductee's place? It should be simple enough, as it will be night when all are expected to be asleep."

She nods "No objection, Baroness. A boggan helps!"

That earns her a smile. "Well done. We will make sure you have a way of reaching out for help if anything goes wrong."

"Chalk, and... oh... seed. Seed to draw the circle..." whispering to herself as she scribbles out notes on a bunk.

"yes, Baroness. Will the witch need a lock of my hair?" then she covers her mouth "I'm sorry Miss Zara."

Coradel hides her amusement behind another sip of wine.

The seer smirks, "The librarian may ask, but it would be of use to me as well. It need not be a whole lock."

A sudden frown. "Hm. I think I have detected a possible flaw in this plan. Of course, we must make sure the chrysalis happens, but what then? If we return a child who was formerly non-responsive but is now reciting poetry and solving equations, the camp may get the undeserved reputation of miracle workers."

"The Seer is more suited to cloak you in illusion."

"Well, I did say it may be best to steal the child, but I was outvoted."

Lord Hume looks up "if we steal her, I can alter her records."

"Even if we don't." He adds.

Bachdion ponders "maybe memory cantrips on her parents?"

"Perhaps they could recall that they agreed to have their child enrolled at a special school of some sort, far enough away that they would not be expected to make regular visits. When the new arrival is sained, they might wish to visit and demonstrate their 'improvement' ...or not."

"That is a possibility? Bachdion, I believe you have more experience in Chicanery than I..."

"Wayfare is my strong point but I know a bit yes, and I have others who can assist me," Bachdion says "Leave me to the memory task force then."

"Leave the tech side to me," Hume adds.

(Pause)
