Coradel's people are clever and quick. They are brave and ready to defend those who are helpless. She knows this, and she knows she can rely on them to the best of their abilities. But right now, the failure of her Barony to find and eliminate the threat of the carriages is making her pace angrily.

"What are we missing?" she mutters, absently slapping a door frame.

"It might not be that -we- are missing anything; there have been reports of these types of carriages elsewhere, across Concordia." August reminds her, keeping an eye and ear out for the arrival of Sam Wiseman.

"And nobody has an answer yet." In a way it's reassuring, but she's still impatient. She moves to his side.

"I want to go hunt, but its appearances are hard to predict."

"Lord Hume has asked a Member of the Order of (name the player can't remember) to come and be of assistance. Mr. Sam Wiseman, a boggan. When he's arrived, we may have more to go on. And Zara and I plan to try and find out more in Northern Ice."

She nods regarding the boggan. "I hope you're right."

Then, "Why Northern Ice? There's a lead there?"

She rests her fingertips against his hand.

He takes her hand in his. "Yes. Duke Stephen Brunswick ap Dougal, the Ducy of Whtie Trillium in Northern Ice. We wondered if a Balor might be hiding as a Dougal in the Toronto area."

"We'd go with the expressed purpose of visiting the library there." a little uncomfortably.

"Hmm...I don't know Brunswick," she murmurs. "I'm not sure what connections I have that might serve to get you access."

"Some entree would be useful but we could always show up and beg mercy." August points out.

"You could." She sounds a little doubtful. "Your house can create an obstacle, though. I'll see what I can arrange."

He nods; his House's stigma is nothing new.

"At the very least, I'll send along a letter of introduction from me. Don't feel you must present it, but I'd like you to have it with you, just in case you need it."

He squeezes her hand with that shy smile. "Thank you."

She squeezes back, then reaches up to give him a gentle kiss before moving away. "I'll prepare that now. And then...I need to...do something. Ride, hunt, race, fight...something!" A gesture of frustration, and she stalks off.

A wistful sigh as he watches her go.....

Magnus, his son,, has returned, and just missed Coradel

When he sees August, he says "Queen Bess" Using the fae name for the mortal woman "is fine, all healed up. And understands that the kids will be here for a special summer program"

"Thank you, Magnus."

"Happy to do it. I used as little magic as possible... after all, she was our queen, and is a fine daughter of eve. Steward Delores says we will be sending her a bit more money and support covertly. Both for her her and her offspring. She feels it is a repayment of debts in a way. I don't know if I agree but I'm not going to argue with the steward. I thought you should know that too. Anything I can do for you before I go?"

"Good to hear it. I don't know all you and Miss Zara are up to, but I wish you luck" He pats the Liam's shoulder fondly

"Thank you. We're trying to track down and put an end to these carriage attacks."

"If I learn anything I'll send word" He aassures... and then heads off to talk to his wife
