It has begun to rain... a sort of depressing rain. As the near dreaming reflects Coradel's worry and stress. There are soft thunder rumbles.

"Coradel is still worried" Earl says as he enters in. He's been working hard on his projects.

He finds both his lady and her bookwyrm reading, and realizes they may not hear a word he says.

"She should be."

"Yeah, she loves that horse. Delores told me to wear red and silver" he says "For a moment I thought House Fiona was trying to recruit me. "

"I gave that call. You look good in any color." Even Zara is wearing red, a silk scarf around her neck, tied in artful flounce, falling rubies, scarlet as a slit throat.

He admires it, "You look wonderfuly decadent, but ... may I ask why?"

Indeed, he can't help but find it alluring. Zara has put her own twist on the color. Purple is hers, but this is not bad...invoking the feeling of a lady murdered before her time in some Agatha Christie scene. Earl wonders if he's quite right in the head, but then decides he doesn't care if he is or not.

"We have a threat. This will protect us."

Not purple - red, TRUE red.

Indeed.... he says "You look like a lady doomed to die, but in spectacular fashion. I'll keep red on until you say it is safe." He assures "I'm curious to details, but I know you release what you will at the right time. Your time."

"I do console myself a little, that I may appear so ill-fated in crimson."

"Doomed" He repeats with admiration, "Destined and Dazzling" He then adds, "I think I have neglected flattering you of late. For which I am profoundly sorry. If an artist neglects his muse, well, dire consequences on him"

Bronte looks up from reading "Cheat your landlord if you can -- and must -- but do not try to shortchange the Muse.-
William S. Burroughs " a firm nod

A soft chuff.

"Never tangle with a bookwyrm who has a library of wisdom to throw at you" earl smiles at Bronte and concedes.

Bronte looks pleased at that and gives an almost feline like purr for a moment.

"The Library which as yet to yield some recipe, some tincture, some Dreaming-held artifact..."

"I know not if the caster can undo this."

He looks around then whispers softly "Naming?"

"If I must, yes. I may be able to spell the sickness into something less... fatal."

"But it is risky, and no guarantee."

A nod "And if it goes wrong, then pandemic city" He shaikes his head "Emma's on top of it, but I think I should warn the family. Iowa's far away but still, we have a few horses too"

She frowns.

"This warding is already a risk."

"There are other shields. The Farm is well hidden, is it not?"

"It is" He concedes.

"It... it is important it be known that our wards are Fiona colors, that we choose them because of the liege-lord here."

"We... we would need a different reason, at the Farm, for they are not Fiona." How did her whisper get even softer.

He ponders this, then nods "I suppose it could be a memorial thing? Blood of commoner heroes?"

"It might be too coincidental."

"And how the silver, hm?"

"mmm" he says "You've a point. We'll think of something if need be. We always do. Come, I'll make some tea for us both and you take a break."

"Tea sounds lovely." She rubs at her eyes.

And, he thinks, maybe after a rest. His lady pushes herself too hard, but for now? Tea. And he gets the same.
