The web sack shakes a little. Someone is trying to squirm, and failing

Squire Nelson is a NICE Eiluned, but he IS still an Eiluned. His chosen form of 'betrayal'? He gave up on seeking... and went to play a video game instead. That was hours ago.

Lily has finally caught on, but seems to be.. stuck.

This, of course, is mortifying

She swallows her pride, and calls for help

sadly, while the library is quiet, the halls of Earthrunes are often lively, and sluagh.. well, they can't shout.

So it comes out as "_ _ _ _ , _ _ _ _ _ _?"

WHich is "Help Please" if you are able to hear a whisper from rooms away

One would think the sisters would be there to free her, but , well, there was a picnic... a foolish carpenter bee got in the garden and 1122 set up a table there

Lily is trapped. Her squirm has failed. She can't bunk so muffled and bound. She can do nothing... but she is SLUAGH...

So, she does what sluagh do. She resigns herself to her melancholy fate to never be free again. Oh she shall perish from famine and neglect. They shall find her bones dangling from the ceiling in a week. Woe, Woe is her, to be but a fleeting shadow on this uncaring and dusty stage called life!

She coughs dramaticly, which is not much louder than the whisper, but it IS dramatic, for a childling.

She finds the idea of her loss driving connor mad rather sweet.

There will be a funeral, of course. Her casket shall be a grand victorian thing. She already picked one out a year ago. Some people check real estate sites, she prefers coffins. In truth, the coffin she picked is probably too big for her, but how could she resist the dark willow wood, and the faded white interior.. with lace!

She makes an inaudible 'hiss' sound, practicing her haunting while still alive.

A fuss will be made over her tragedy, Connor might go mad, and her ghost will haunt Nelson. This is a rather delightful train of thought.

She'll need music played at her funeral, of course. No doubt someone will suggest Amazing Grace, which IS a rather lovely song, but so over done. She thinks back to other old ancient songs and music that might fit, and, with pride, finds the perfect one. The venerable medly Going Under by Evanescence! She heard it once on the 'old peoples' radio station. Sluagh like old things so it would fit doubly.

She tries to squirm again, but the best she manages to do is end upside down in her container

I meant to do that she declares to herself. Works for cats after all

A soft sigh might escape the webbing

She shall die here. But is it too much to ask she die in a dignified pose?

She hears footsteps in the room? Wait, someone is in the library?

"hello?" she whispers

or tries to

but she hears no answer.

Were she able to see through this webbing, she would see a dog pooka in the library, but not Connor.

Poppi sniffs the web sack, and then her eyes light up!

Then, Poppi DOES Speak "Pinata! "

"Poppi, don't you dare" Whispers Lily. Dying by starvation is tragic, true. Dying by stick with a child's party game? The scandal!

There is a nipping sound, as puppy teeth tear at the edges of the sack so it can come free. Playful growling as the dog drags the sack out of the library, and down the halls

Lily WILLS herself to die, surely her embarrassment is enough to make that happen?!

When Lily is older, she will learn that embarrassment is among the cruelest forces of the dreaming, for no one has died from it. Cruel Embarrassment is too sadistic to grant that release

Poppi, in pooch form, drags and pulls her gooey sack prize down the hall with a wagging tail.

One maid fusses, "Poppi, get that gross thing outside" Unaware of the contents

My list of revenge grows at an amazing rate today The sluagh observes petulantly

Outside they go. The sluagh resigned to dying ingominously, a mockery in sluagh circles, for surely, doom by pooka arranged party game is the lowliest of dooms

WILL Lily die in the most embarrassing fashion? or will someone rescue her? Will folks remember that at this time, things are freezing, and will this cause the pup to chicken out? All these questions and more be answered... or not!
