"Well, she and Agnes used to trade recipes something fierce."

"Aye. " A nod "Now that woman was a force. Kourtney is doing her proud, but big shoes to fill." A sip "Do you visit the farm often?"

"Well, they are family."

"Also, there's a book club."

"Which you helped start, or at least inspire" Siv nods

"Still."

"Jonas has started a book collection. I enjoy adventures, but he's using our new space to find spots to put To Kill A Mockingbird and Off Mice and Men, the latter which just depressed me after he got me to read it. Give me treasure island anyday"

"Sometimes it is good to read and cry."

"Aye, that's true" she admits "What's your favorite sad book if I might inquire?"

"Oh!"

"Oh, that is... oh, my..."

"like asking a mother to pick her favorite child?" A smile

"Tis a cruel thing, to pick but one..."

"Two then, two is more than one" a genteel nod

SIiiiigh!

A chuckle "All right, all right. I will not be cruel. Tell me then, what sad book do you suggest for me you'd think I'd enjoy?"

"Ah!"

She ponders, before concluding - "Island of the Blue Dolphins."

"Island of BLue Dolphins? Well, I like the title"

"I'll get it" She promises "Join you in a talk about it when I visit again"

She bobs her head. "I shall re-read it, to come afresh to the discussion."

At this, Siv's eyes light up "Thank you. That DOES sound like fun. Course I may complain about the tears but I'll thank you too."

"Little sailing in it, but much of the sea."

"That's fine, there are adventures even on trails where horses carry headless riders, there is romance even in the moors gray rather than the sea blue. A well educated witch showed me that"

And she toasts her friend with a cup
