Leonora dances in the halls like no one is watching... because as far as she knows, no one is.

The Fiona is no ballet dancer, but she does the club shuffle with skill

And seems to have positioned herself in front of a hall mirror... the better to observe herself as she works

Perhaps nobody has been watching, but Coradel's just making a turn and coming into the corridor as Leonora makes a particularly leonine twist and arch. She smiles and watches a bit more.

The Fiona Knight is clearly practicing, but also having fun... her light up sneakers make it quite a show

And only then she does a turn and sees.. "Oh, Coradel! Sorry, just practicing for the contest"

"I think we need a dance party sooner than later," Coradel comments, coming closer.

"Wait...dance contest? When's this?"

"And where?"

"Oh yes... you wouldn't know" She reaches into her pocket and unfolds a paper and hands it to her.

Coradel takes it and looks it over.

When Coradel reads it , it glitters with chimerical ink The Barons of the Ark invite YOU to the great House Hoof challenge! Every House welcome, and duel by dance offs! The Hosue that has the best scores gets the grand prize, but there's so much more and fun fun fun! Twenty dollars to enter, and funds go to the Zoo charity!

there3's a lot more about categories, types of dance etc. She knows the Barons of the Ark are in the City of St. Lous, near the Duke and Duchess. They rule the small slice of the world famous St. Louis zoo.

She didn't get to know the barons well. They're rather informal normally.

"When did you run into the Ark nobility?" She looks over the page for a date...is it before Samhain?

It is! Between Pennons and Samhain (Time somewhat in flux OOCly but set ICly) "Oh, they sent a herald! It's open to all of our barony... no more than 3 reps for each noble house. Oh, and NON Housed too... in a special 'commoner power' selection"

"I mean three reps from each Barony. Thought I'd give it a shot. Sounds fun" A smile "I'm gonna lose SO hard"

"That sounds like a blast! Can those who aren't competing attend? I imagine they wouldn't turn down anybody who brought a donation."

"OH they welcome it!"

"Since when do you anticipate failure, house-sister?"
