Coradel faces courtly demands

Oh, bother.

But sometimes the tedious ends with something interesting.

Herald Innish speaks up "Next, we have a complaint regarding Colby Klutzer and his Dial a Kelpie business."

So she sits with great nobility in the audience chamber, sipping a bit of whatever Jack or Vince has handed to her.

A blink.

She frowns and regards the complainant.

The Nocker brought forward says "Your ladyship, it clearly says 'K-Elpie' with a hyphen. Any furking fool can guess that the Kelpie hired is not a KELPIE in the traditioan sense. It does lure your foes to their doom though, and isn't that what matters?"

"What exactly is...it?"

Mr. Gluminski steps forward, and must get closer to whisper "Baroness, this is clearly false advertising. I am to be promised a horrible terrifying KELIE to lure foe to doom... but is it REAL Kelpie? No. Is automaton... One wants geniune kelpie, not faux kelpie"

"You should have read the fine print!" The Nocker scowls

"The fine print? How fine, and posted where?" she asks after listening to both.

"Right here" The Nocker offers it to Innish, who offers it to Coradel. Mmm there's the contract and... wait, what's all this writing on the back in Japanese?

Mr. Gluminski huffs

She regards this...glances at the nocker...then looks to Mr. Gluminsky. "This..." she taps the Japanese section "...didn't seem like it might be a problem?"

"That's what google translate is for... besides, look at my invention!" He says "Exhibit A!"

Innish has it brought in

"Is that not amazing AND furking scary?" Klutzer says

Coradel rises from her seat and steps down from the dais, taking a few moments to walk around and inspect the automaton. She appears to genuinely admire the cleverness of the construction. "And how, exactly, does it do its luring?"

Dame Honora ap Dougal looks impressed too

"Watch this..transform to lure # 16" Klutzer says

"I did not say to activate it," she says firmly, concerned for the welfare of her court.

...but perhaps too late.

And it looks like a LARGE safe, that is sligtly open, and says 'Bitcoins' on the side!

"This has no STYLE" GLuminski hisses

Coradel blinks, then tilts her head. "Show me another."

"Transform Lure Number 13" KLutzer says

It transforms and...becomes much more human looking... why does it smell like kitchen?

Charity, standing attentive on the sidelines, can’t help an appreciative gasp.

There are tiny bolts behind the ears, and at the wrists, but otherwise sure to lure those interested in..well, men that cook

A bit of a smile there. "All right, then...and if you were to turn it on, say, Mr. Gluminsky, what Lure would you apply?"

"I.. uhm.. " A pause "I.. err" he looks over his listing "To lure a sluagh? I.. uhm... well, there's a hot redheaded woman"

"Nyet interested" Gluminski says, then adds "No disrespect to you, Baroness"

A brow.

"None taken, I quite understand."

"Try again," she says to the nocker.

"uhm... How about the ferrari?" He offers

"Bah" Gluminski says "I do not read Japanese. This was ruse."

Coradel considers...then returns to her seat upon the dais. She sips her drink once more, quietly considering.

"Crafter, I think your idea has merit, but it is not yet complete in that its options cannot adequately provide what the customer might reasonably expect from your promotional materials. Reasonably," she repeats for emphasis.

"However, Mr. Gluminski, I think expecting an actual Kelpie from such a source might also have been unreasonable."

Both nocker and sluagh look sheepish

"Mr. Klutzer, please return Mr. Gluminski his money, and revise your marketing language. Mr. Gluminski, I'm sure I don't have to caution you to read all of the writing before purchase in the future."

August sits quietly at his desk off to the side, making notes and even a little sketch.

She regards the K-Elpie again. "Definitely not without merit," she murmurs to herself. Then more clearly, she says, "Dame Honoria, would you be willing to collaborate with Mr. Klutzer? It may be, if he can further develop his options, that we might be willing to purchase one or two of these devices."

"Indeed, I was thinking of suggesting that, Baroness" Honoria nods "So thank you. Mr. Klutzer, let's compare notes. Think of it as investment in your future. There could be a sponsorship in this for you"

"Are all satisfied?" Coradel asks the two men.

"Mmm may I have my money back with a single drop of his blood and single strand of hair?" Glumisnki cheers "A bit of interest for my trouble?"
