"Screwtape still holds me fascinated. I prefer Mr. Chesterton's more esoteric works, though."

"I think I came upon him later in my years, seeking more focused apologetics."

"I was told I really should read 'The Man who was Thursday' do you recommend it as well?"

"Ah." he sits back, thoughtful. "The Man who was Thursday is... it is a novel and allegory that must be read critically, in my opinion. Christopher Hitchens admired it; he called it Kafkaesque."

"mmm, a little bit of Kafka is tolerable" She muses "What is your favorite of G.K's works then?"

"I admit to preferring his post-conversion works, but I find the pre-conversion works challenge me well."

"It does make one think" She considers

The tea finished, she smiles "Perhaps I needs must do some reading in addition to my duty. Pray forgive me, my liege. I should get going"

He stands respectfully. "Of course. Thank you for coming by; I enjoyed your visit immensely."

"As did I, my liege. And thank you for hearing me out and for your trust" She gives a curtsey, and then, withdraws

He bows to her curtsey, collects up the tea things neatly, and returns to his studies.

And good studies are had
