The boy yawns, closes his eyes. This would be fine.

Except he's standing in the hallway

so it's a bit more like a horse than a boggan as he tries to nap standing up

August makes his way to his study, nose in a book.

And almost knocks his half asleep squire over

"Oh, I beg your pardon." August apologizes. "Terribly sorry."

"mmph?" He wakes and stumbles a bit "oh, my liege. I'm sorry. I may have dozed off"

"Here? Standing up? Are you well?"

"Sorry, Baron. I'm not really getting much sleep lately. There's this ...thing"

"Would you like to talk about it?"

"Call of the needy, my liege . I .. I'm helping someone and it's cutting into my sleep time"

"Even boggans can ask for help." he says with genuine, if mild, concern.

"Well sir, it's about a teen age girl. She's... she's threatening suicide. So every night, I talk her down"

"-Every- night?"

"For the last three" Yawn

"Without knowing specifics, it certainly sounds like you need more resources. I'd be happy to help."

"Well, her Name is Linda Carlton. She's about my age."

August nods, listening.

"She's a nice enough girl, but she seems to have had her heart broken by a break up. And her parents are getting a divorce"

August looks sympathetic.

"All of it at once."

"That is a heavy burden to try to bear alone."

"Well, now she doesn't have to because I'm bearing it iwth her" he nods, clearly not seeing what he's doing is bearing anything alone himself

A small, kind smile. "Tyler, as passionate as you are about helping, may I suggest we find some experts to assist her?"

"But she begged me not to tell anyone" A blink "oh dear. I just told you"

"You're very fatigued." he explains "Tylar, the one time a trained mental health professional can violate confidentiality is when the person they are treating is a danger to themselves or others. You know that, right?"

"Oh?" he says surprised.

He nods. "Under those circumstances, they are considered mandatory reporters. Now, if a trained mental health professional is required to report such dangers, how can we undertake to keep them to ourselves?"

"I'm not suggesting we turn her in, but I think it's important we get her help, not just an ear and a shoulder to cry on."

"Do you know anyone who could help her?"

"I wll make some calls. In the meantime, what duties prevent you from resting now?"

"Well, Baron, I was going to copy the court notes you too. So you'd have ..." sleepy blink "doubles"

"Tylar, as your Leige it is my order that you go and find your rest. I'll see what I can come up with to help your young lady, and we'll work together tonight."

"Yes, my liege" Sheepish as well as sleepish "Thank you, my liege. I worry" And he bows, and makes to go nap... this time in his bed.

August goes to make a few calls; he has contacts in the diocese and elsewhere. He might also take it on himself to look the young lady's information up. Some of Magnus's skills have rubbed off on him.

Indeed, knowledge is to be found in layers ready for digging, and August's skills allow him to dig in them like no one's business. She is on social media too, but quiet for the most part, as if afraid of being teamed up on.

He has to wonder if perhaps there is more going on than has already been reported.

He has names of those who might help her thanks to his contacts in the diocese.

He'll contact them to find the best way to proceed.

Some internet searches , not his forte, indicates WHY the girl is quiet social media wise. Apparently someone is talking a LOT of shit about her

nothing like having a group saying things like "ugh, if I were like her, I'd KILL myself"

He's not surprised by this; it's textbook, really.

Tylar, however, missed it. One could blame 3 days lack of sleep and the potential suicide clamming up there

Or simply a lack of familiarity with the field. Either way, fixible.

No doubt about it though, Tylar cares, and while boggan's heed the call of the needy, he also is a true blue Liam. A reason for a mentor and liege to be proud

And August is; not of creating or mentoring Tylar, but of being associated with him.

Much to do, but help for both the daughter of eve, and the boggan who wants to aid her- is now underway
