Easter was wonderful. August felt the holy dreams most pleasantly. A sense of forgiveness and hope floated about the barony

Of course, there are chimerical eggs and rabbits all about too, peeps roaming and so on, but there was also a far more surreal sense of ease, as if wrongs had been righted and weights lifted.

As is his habit, he spent most of Holy Week volunteering serenely. Easter at home was a modest feast of lamb with the trimmings.

It was lovely. There is a knock at the door of their house

He pads over and checks before opening it.

Safety first.

Leonora and Bachdion wait at the door.

The former waving friendly

"Oh!" he opens the door with a fond smile "Hello, please, come in."

He makes way.

THey do, each giving him a warm hug

"Happy Easter, my friend" Bachdion says "We know this is a busy time for you, good deeds and all so we'll try not to keep you if it's poor timing on our part?"

"Mmph HE might, I might just be rude and stick around" Leonora warns

"Oh, no, your timing is fine. Can I get you anything?"

"Well, tell me where to put the basket" Bachdion offers up an easter basket, rather large

"Oh... ah, in the kitchen?" he shows them where.

THey set it down. They know the way having been here before. Leonora inquires "So, how are you and Cordy?"

He clears his throat. "Coradel." he insists, gently.

She sighs but then says indulgently "Coradel. You take the fun out of nicknames of endearment. I still remember that you hated when I called you Augie"

"There's history there, Leonora," A reminder from Bachdion "Still, how are you and she, August?"

"I still dislike it, Leonora." he advises, and answers Bachdion "Very well, thank you. I hope you are both as well?"

"I know, I know and I won't use it" Leonora makes a crossing gesture at her heart, sincere in her way

"Oh I'm great. Vince and I got to hide eggs for the boys" He smiles proudly

A gentle smile "Wonderful."

"He has pictures" Leonora warns but playfully

"I DO " Bachdion puffs up

"Show me!" he encourages.

Didn't have to tell the satyr twice. He shows pictures of the two boys hunting eggs. My they've grown

August genuinely seems to enjoy reviewing the day with him.

Leonora takes this time to make coffee or tea for them all as prefered

Bachdion gushes "See how quick he's running? Oh thta's the satyr in him..."

"They're fine boys."

"THey are, they are..."

"And their mother is well, I hope?"

"Glorious" He assures "Her career has taken off and she's invested prudently, not easy to do in this economy"

"She had help" Leonora eyes Bachdion "You and vince have been her guardian angels behind her back"

"Tish tosh my dear," The satyr waves it off "A nudge is all"

August goes to the fridge and pours them all a glass of iced tea.

Tea is already prepared, and Leonora looks smug "Worked while you had to endure the picture deluge"

"Oops." he puts the pitcher back and takes the tea. "Thank you."

"Deluge.. I'm hurt" Bachdion tuts at the Fiona sidhe

"They're GORGEOUS, they are" She assures him

"They are." August agrees.

Mollified, the satyr says "August, how are classes? How close are you to graduation?"

"Oh, ah.... quite close. May."

"Oh my, that's gonna be awesome" Leonora delights "Coradel is going to explode from pride and i might join her"

"It's... ah, really a shared accomplishment."

The sound of a sports car pulling up to park outside, revving one final time for a flourish.

And soon Coradel is coming through the door. "Home!" she announces herself.

August looks around at the sound of the car, and is at the door to open it.
