Burly boggans, wiry nockers, and easy going trolls bring in new materials into the hold.

August can see them going by towards an empty room not far from his study

Probably Coradel is redecorating. Or adding a gallery. As much as she is an avid horsewoman and increasingly in the equine business, she is an art collector and dealer.

She is indeed, and yet, this is awfully close to his study, and there's ...wait, is that a podium? Coradel doesn't often use those for public speaking

Indeed not; she excells at the extemporaneous, after all.

He pauses on his way into said study, watching. Hopefully this will not be a noisy rennovation?

It looks like they have hammers and powerdrills. One boggan sees him studying them and bobs his head "Sorry, Baron. Would bow but hands are full. Good to see you, mi lord. Don't you worry, it'll be grand, just how you need it. "

"Though" A troll says "if you have preferences, you may want to interject your input , Baron"

"Like we DON'T know how things go..." A snort from the nocker

"I do beg your pardon, good bogan, but I am not familiar with this project."

"You're not? Oh dear..." The man looks at the others "That's awkward as it's for you. You see, it's a legal office and test court room kind of? "

He blinks.

"Ah. I see. Who ordered it?"

They check the paperwork "Earth Runes"

A sigh.

The Nocker says "Look, if we cared about paperwork we'd work the Autumn side of things. We got book cases for legal books, files on precedent and more..."

"And I'm sure they'll be very useful, in their proper place. I'm just not certain this is it. May I see the papers?"

Steward Delores' hand writing, it looks like

Another sigh. "I suppose you should carry on, then. I'll work in the library." That should be far enough away for the noise to not disturb.

"Baron, if the room is for you" The boggan says kindly, "Then we should ask how you want the basic lay out"

He glances again at the papers; do they specify it's for him?

It does say 'Legal office for the Baron August'

Are there drawings or blueprints? Or even a description other than the title of the room(s)?

More a general 'get it done' direction

He shakes his head. "My study is my office. I'm not sure what any of this is about. Perhaps you should check with Steward Delores."

"US?" Eyes widen

"Baron, we're just hired. Questioning the steward.. could lose us the job"

"I doubt that." evenly "She's fair-minded and open to making EarthRunes the best it can be. I'm sure if you have questions about your task she would welcome the opportunity to collaborate and clarify."

One troll coughs "Would you mind talking to her for us, your lordship?"

He folds up his work and tucks it away in the books he carries. "Of course not. Please, take some refreshment until we have this clarified."

And he seeks out the steward.

He moves on, and sees things are very active indeed... whole crews going to various parts of the hold on various projects at once

And he finds Delores in her office. Once a humble maid, the boggan has become a power in the Barony, and more importantly, a positive one.

She is talking to herself "yes yes... Miss Zara, she likes books... never enough books. I need to find a way to get her more..."

He taps at the doorframe.

"I Know" She snaps her fingers "yes yes, that's the perfect idea.." She writes something down then looks up at the tap "Oh, Baron" SHe rises and curtseys "what can I do for you?"

He bows in return. "There's some confusion as to a new project near my study? The workmen would like guidence."

"What? Guidance? They were to set up your legal office. You needed one, so you should have one. You're going to be a lawyer.." She tilts her head, the nods "yes yes, a good one I'm sure. Only the best"

"I regret there's been a miscommunication, Stewart. I'm not certain that I will proceed to the mortal Bar exam. I have not decided. And my credentials in the Fae realm will be decided by a board of experts on our laws; not a formal test. I've been reading law with your kithbrother, who came here some years ago? He's preparing me ... but all of that is of no matter in terms of this project. It is a generous thought. Thank you. I'm sure I can leave the details in your hands."

"You.. you don't want or need it?" She says looking alarmed "But I thought ... oh my. Do you want or need it, Baron?"

"I was not aware of a need or want, but I am certain you have the right of it."

"Oh good, for a moment I thought I'd been told wrong..." A look of relief "Well, we'll make sure it suits the fae world... didn't even think of the mortal world anyway. Drab place. Boring. Nasty. Don't worry, it'll be grand"
