Elsewhere, August who is readying for Thanksgiving actually is having an energetic talk with Lord Hume, actually, Hume is the energized one

"Selena, she's my girlfriend, did I mention I had a girlfriend?" He asks , naming the pretty piskie "Anwyay she told me about the local libraries getting books banned and so on"

"Well that sucks, I thought. Now I'm fine with pirating books, but not everyone is and libraries aren't, but that's when I realized, a lot of these groups trying to censor stuff don't realize how many books can be read on Epubs and PDFs and the like? Electronic libraraies. I know Zara is not a fan, but better that than nothing right?"

"So now, thanks to the program I set up, the libraries can loan out e books set to expire after a month so the publishers don't whine, and the librarians can honestly say they don't have a banned book on location"

August nods. "The Brooklyn, New York public library has issued free electronic library cards to youth nationwide, for the same reason."

"Oh yeah, when I got started on it, I realized I wasn't the first... but this way the library local can still have more reason for folks to have membership there. Pays their way"

"It's an excellent idea, Lord Hume."

"Thanks. I even have a failsafe set up but oh, sorry, talking about myself. How are your studies going?"

"Very well, thank you. I'm doing mostly pro-bono work for a small social justice non-profit. And, I hope to be working with Fae as soon as [NAME? Boggan lawyer?] believes me ready."

"Sounds right up your alley" He nods "it's not too banal?"

"I avoid the worst of it, I think. And, I'm blessed by my House to some degree in that resiliency."

A nod "I'll give your House that, they stand the cold surprisingly well"

"Thank you." gravely.

"Is there anything you need help with online? It doesn't sound like you have remote classes, but if you ever need me to check on soemone's lap top or the like... I'm open"

"Thank you, I will bear that in mind. And, ah, if you have any legal questions I can help with....."

"Oh definitely, and thank you, Baron. I dohnt PLAN on breaking a law or anything, but always nice to know someone who can tell me what is best if I'm accused of it"

He chuckles. "Don't say anything except to request a lawyer, no matter what the authorities say."

"Even if you've done nothing wrong?"

"Even if."

"Noted" he accepts this

August offers a gentle smile.

"Anyway" he says "I think I'm finally finding my niche. And I am grateful you and the baroness were patient with me"

"You are very welcome, my lord."

It was at that time, someone else came in...

August, hearing this, turns to look.

"Hey," Zing comes in with white hair, and a librarian outfit, "Is this where the contest is?"

August takes a deep inhale, slow exhale. "Not to my knowledge."

"This spot is taken by the shriners, gang" Zing calls back over her shoulder.

Behind her, there are a dozen other changelings. All with hair dyed white, or pale wigs on. Most are women, but a few are guys in drag. Witch outfits, Librarian outfits... varying in degrees of risque

"Well, let's go find the contest room..."

"Pardon me." he nods to all and exits.

Hume can be heard saying "is this a...Zara look alike contest?"

but August has escaped!

It would appear there is a 'Zara look alike contest' going on. Does Zara know of this?

August knows better than to go looking; Zara will be seen when she wishes to be.

For a moment, he ponders finding the usual suspects. Shallimar, Zing (Who he just met), Shallimar, Vince, Vashti... oh and Shallimar

He knows better than that, too. He'll retire to his study.

Into his study he retreats

There, lounging on the desk with her hair dyed white, is Leonora, in a risque librarian outfit, and wearing little spider ear rings of silver

"Hi. Think I could win the contest?" A wink

"I think, if you wish an answer to that question, you should enter the contest." a tad....cool.

"Oh," She sees that response, "You're offended aren't you?"

"Sorry" She says ,and sighs "Seemed funny to me"

"If you'll excuse me?" he goes to his desk, studious.

"Sure.." She moves off, "August. Are you mad at me?"

"I look forward to our next meeting."

"In my defense, I didn't thinik of the contest I just joined in" A nose wrinkle\

"I'm sure you did not."

"I'll go change" She says looking a bit pained
