August sees a Daireann troll in the halls. Rare.

His head tilts, curious "Greetings." politely.

She bows respectfully "Baron August? Pardon you may not recall me. I'm Dame Gladiola , Kennel Mistress of Silverwolf. Mm Gwen if you prefer," She adds, "I was looking for your Lord Hume?"

"Ah. Well, he is likely in his chambers. Let me see...." he looks around "Benny?"

The boy appears like magic

"Yes, My liege?" eager "hey, new troll. Cool. We keeping her?"

"There you are."

Gwen blinks

"No, I don't think so. Would you be so kind as to inquire if Lord Hume is in his rooms?"

"And if not, discover his whereabouts and inform me in either case?"

"Yes, my liege" He bows to both and zips off

"nice kid" Gladiola says "Uhm.. very prompt?"

"He works very hard." the Baron agrees.

"May I ask you your business with Lord Hume?" politely.

"Of course," She nods "I Hoped to inquire about his House Dougal connections, the one who gave him that Chimerical spine?"

"Ah. Well, we'll know where he is shortly. Have you been offered refreshment?"

"I have not, but then I did comeun announced"

"Allow me? Benny will find us."

Both the visitor and August see the swish of a tufted tail from behind a voluminous wallhanging.

Otherwise, a perfect hiding spot...

Just... keep walking down the hall. A few steps closer.

August clears his throat. "Dame, would you mind walking on this side of me?" he indicates the side -away- from the tapestry.

A disappointed sound.

"Yes, I think that's wise" SHe says adding "I'd hate to damage a tapestry by accident. Fur does take awhile to grow back"

And she follows the Baron "Coffee would be welcome, Baron and I thank you"

"Most welcome, I assure you. As Our Guest." he says, that last a little louder as if to make a point.

The sound of footpads going in the opposite direction... someone ruined all the fun.

August clears his throat and leads on to one of the receiving rooms where they find refreshments, including coffee. Never know when a troll will drop by.

Gwen definitely likes her coffee, and savors it "Thank you very much, Baron. " She had missed her morning cup

"I Hope all goes well here?"

"Oh, yes. Busy, of course. I trust all is well at Silverwolf?"

"Rather busy there as well, as you may have heard, we're hosting a post pennons pennons of sorts to show off hounds, hawks and horses. I understand some of your own hold members will be attending."

A gentle smile. "I believe I heard Baroness Coradel mention something about it."

"Given her and Sir Sergei's skills and animals, we do not doubt they'll be strong competition" she smiles though "I saw that he has put our gentle giant in the garden and..."

That's when Lord Hume comes in "I was.. requested?"

"Lord Hume, my pleasure to introduce Dame Gladiola of Silverwolf Barony. Dame, Lord Hume."

"An honor, Lord Hume." She says "I am so terribly sorry for the intrusion, but I have a matter of personal import and iti s my hope you can assist"

"Pardon me." August nods to both, and withdraws.

"Of course" says a confused lord hume, leading with "First, have you tried turning it off and on again?"

And August is gone

An hour later, Gwen is off...
