Zara tugs on Earl's hand, for a dance.

Earl is.. surprised, but attentive. He hears no music, but he knows the gesture, and assumes she does. He puts a hand on Zara's hip, while his other hand takes one of hers.

The ghosts already doing like wise.

Zara can almost swear she hears music, a waltz of sorts from long ago, a memory so strong it defies time

She... well, she can't exactly hum.

Earl doesn't seem to need it.

For what seems hours they dance.... then... the music jerks, stops, and the ghosts flicker, new sounds...

"Damned Irish!" A voice of hate "Ruth, away from him! I need a clean shot!"

"Papa, no!"

And boom goes a gun...

the dancing done till next year

A siiiigh.

"Love?" Earl asks as she stops swaying in his arms

"The story had to reach an end."

"But it was lovely."

"A story, will you tell me of it when we get home?" He asks her

"Aye, it is romantic and tragic."

"Oh," He walks with her, holding her close "Then it's a story that needs telling. Come, let's go make green bagels"

"Aye, and I shall share the tale of two lovers."

"I'll listen very closely" And they head home to do just that. Delores would allow access to the kitchen, but it's more fun just to sneak in.
