"Ah, pardon, this is Baron August Truthbranch, among my best friennds, he is of House Liam, leader of Bannerhouse Truthbranch," Earl introduces "Baron, this is Lady Halina of Varich"

"Charmed" She states "And so we are introduced. Thank you, Sir earl for that. Yes, Baron the times are trying, not so for me, I am well now. But some in my house insist on keeping a cycle of hate going. One most sluagh know only as a legend. I assure you, not all of Varich would approve of this.. cruelty"

"It heartens me to hear so, Lady. I wanted to welcome you to EarthRunes. Have you met Baroness Coradel?"

He nods with a smile "I am sure you will."

"Are you comfortable, Lady? You have all you need?"

Her room is quite modest, a twin bed, a small shelf, but it is decorated nicely "I am well enough. "

"And you know where to find sustenance?"

"Ah, in truth I appear late for breakfast" A blush

"May we escort you there? If you don't mind the company?"

"I would be delighted" She says "I was given a small dish when I came here but that was brought to my room"

He offers his arm properly and glances at Earl. "Still with us?" with a smile; he knows where Earl would -rather- be, but.....

August leads them all towards the dining area.

As they go, he asks "Have you met your Housebrother, Sir Sergei?"

"I rather dread to, for fear he'll think me a traitor" She sighgs "I do not know his politics"

"Ah. I admit, I haven't asked. He knows that the sluagh here, Miss Zara especially, are protected by myself and the Baroness."

"Excellent, if he abides by tha, I feel more reassured" A nod

"He does" Earl adds

"He does. He has proven himself to be very patient; open to working with kinain, as well."

They come to the dining area, no sluagh, but there is Shallimar, Gideon, Minerva, Lord Hume at the big table already enjoying a breakfas

August nods to all and introduces Lady Halina of Varich.

"Gadzooks, she's a terrible villain" Shalimar fusses "this is wrong, where is herr mustachhe?"

"Ah, Shallimar.... Miss Lucrima Mourn, one of our recent arrivals, wished me to introduce you, if the occasion arises."

"Oh?" He says then a whisper "if this is about that horse derby, the whoopie cushion under the saddle was someone else's idea"

"I'm... I'm sure it was." nonplussed "No, she is grateful to you for your help."

"As am If you helped the victims of my House brother" Halina adds

Shalimar snorts "I had to undo Vince's machinations is all. "

Lord hume looks up even at breakast he has a tablet

August shows Halina where to grab a quick bite, and that servers will come 'round and take an order if she wishes something more ala carte.

Oh food is served, and before he can fuss, one maid says "Steward has orders o make sure you eat ttoo when you come in, Baron. She says you forget whatt food is if you get your head in your work"

August nods sheepishly and after holding her seat for Halina he takes his own seat.

"Thank you very much." to the servers.

Hume looks up "I think I can help the sluagh.. at least some of them."

He settles in to eat when served, a good boy.

"You do?" polite interest.

"Some of them have finacial troubles because they've been gone, but I think I can do a retroacive freeze on interest rates and the like"

Hume says "A lot of records are online now... and subjectt to alteration" He continues "if you havee the right skills and cantrips"

A faint frown. "What repercussions might there be?"

"If I do it right? not a thhing" he says

"Would it not be more honest to simply fund them for what they need?"

"Ah... mi lord, " Lord Hume frows "We could just.. give them money, but I'm not sure how they'll ffeel about charity. If I return whatt was theirs anyway, they'll have their pride"
