Sure enough, while the staff has the day off ,there ARE left over holiday cookies. He almost slaps his forehead, then realizes what this means "Thanks. I'll go see if she's there" He grabs them and races off "Thanks Emma"

And thus he leaves Emma feeling triumphant. She is a healer and and advisor.. with POCKETS!

The novelty of Boxing Day is still fresh even after several years. Coradel's hair is in a casual bun (still stunningly flattering), and she wears a simple gown that doesn't require expert assistance with fancy lacing. It's a fun change.

She enters the kitchen and easily fills a kettle and only fumbles slightly with the oven to heat it.

No stafff to fuss at her or ask her what she wants so they can get it! It's almost alien

She has a good deal of familiarity with kitchen-ing from the time that she and August spend in their mortal home...though honestly, pasta and salad are about the peak of her expertise. But she can certainly manage tea...if she can find where they hid the tea....and the teapots....

Mmm some of that super expensive rare tea seems to be short. Odd how fast it goes. But the tea pots are found out, and yes, there's 'regular' tea

She considers her options and decides on the "regular" tea, this time. Might as well take the role-reversal to its natural extreme!

As the water is heating, she searches the fridge...any strawberries?

Blueberries!

That's...adequate. I'm sure they'll be lovely. She gets herself some in a bowl and pours a little cream atop them before nibbling on them.

Nice! Quite tastey in fact

"So today is my diet" A voice says dryly

She looks around to see who it is.

Leonora wigggles fingers

She smiles. "Hello, you. Have you eaten at all?"

"I managed to make toast this morning, and butter" as if this were a major triumph

"Decadent!"

"Yes, it wasn't even the lowffat butter"

"Nice!" Then a conspiratorial tone, "You should try it with chocolate sprinkles on it. It's a revelation."

"Oh you temptress"

A wicked look, and she offers Leo a spoon of berries and cream.

She licks it, rather naughtily, then uses her tongue to clear her lips "Nummy. I may learn to like Boxing day yet"

"It can certainly have its pleasures," she murmurs, then leans forward to quickly lick a little dot of cream off the corner of Leo's mouth. "Messy of you."

"I can be such a slob" She savors more than the food "The holidays have been a hit. Did August tell you about my gift to him?"

"Nooooo?" A look of eager curiosity. "Do tell!"

She pulls out her phone and shows her pictures .. of people They're standing in front of houses...

or sometimes holding graduation caps

"August Outreach, a charity program I set up. This entire month, once a day, folks with student loans, medical debts, or houses about to be seized by the bank got financial help. I thought August was such a sweet guy, the thing he'd want is help for others. I also forwarded him the emails of thanks from people...'thanks August outreach' etc"

Coradel looks, and then stares at the photos. "Oh, my. Leo...this is brilliant. You are brilliant!"

"I AM aren't I? " A smug look, rightfully so "He loved it."

"I imagine he blushed deeply and tried to talk you out of the name."

"Oh I cut him off before he could protest. Told him it was done, and that they thought it was about the summer month than anyonne... but he did blush"

"You know he'll probably want to check in on each and every one of these people, personally." She says it fondly. "The gift that keeps on giving!"

"Oh you mean I created WORK for him?" A bit worried there "Oh I didn't intend that"

"No, you created opportunity for him to be more and more involved in the lives of mortals."

"Huh" realization "He probably WILL love that, won't he?"

"Trust me, it's a good thing." She finishes the berries and rinses out the bowl in the sink. She doesn't quite go as far as washing it, though.

"Perhaps we should investigate whether he's willing to take a break from whatever he's doing to enjoy us two turtledoves."

"I did offer to wear JUST a santa hat and candy cane socks"

And the two go off to plot.and seek out August
