Thanksgiving at Earth Runes was a boisterous big tabled affair, and August had good reason to be proud. So many families are feasting today who wouldn't normally, and Leo and Claire andn yes, Temerity talk about it. This causes others to find such a thing not just nice, but heroic!

August is modest about it all, of course. A team effort. Couldn't have distributed the food, even, without help from the manor and the church; Fae and mortal together.

Temerity has a differing view "And then, the Baron Bit it's head off and spat it out! "

"I did not." he admits gently.

"Dame Temerity was most fierce, however. A terror."

"She was" Leonora grins

"Without Dame Leonora's good eye, I doubt we would have succeeded."

"We were pretty well coordinated" Claire admits, "I was surprised."

"By our coordination?"

"to be honest? Yes. Some of us, not naming names can be a wee bit impulsive" Claire says

'Nonsense" Temerity says as she stabs a bit of her pumpkin pie

August sips a glass of wine, considers, and nods. "I'm not a warrior. I can understand your surprise, Dame Claire."

"You underestimate yourself" Claire says then tells the others at the table "the Baron worked the angles , and his blows were true"

"Of course they were, " Bachdion smiles "I helped train him"

"You did your best with the materials you had, Sir, and it's a credit to you."

"You're no sow's ear, son"

"Speaking of sons," Delores asks 'how ae the boys?"

"Wonderful" a smile from Bachdion

Then goes on "Our good queen bess is a wonderful mother, Vince and I help covertly... funding , and more. They're getting so big"

A gentle smile as Bachdion gushes.

Others happily chime in

And yes, Claire admits "Magnus is a wonderful dad. He actually does more diaper changing than I do"

"Anytime you need time, Dame Claire, I hope you will consider me to mind River. I'm first aid certified." he offers.

"I will, Baronn" She ..smiles "She should know you and Coradel"
